** That's the title of the article

According to the co-founder of Greenpeace ... environmental groups use faulty computer models to scare people in order to promote their political agenda AND Greenpeace has taken a hard left political turn and science doesn't really matter to them anymore. (that's pretty obvious).

This fella has obviously cut ties with Greenpeace. He could be telling the truth to the senate committee OR he could be telling the truth as he sees it OR he could be disgruntled and sour grapes.

Washington Times - Greenpeace Co-Founder Says No Scientific Proof Humans Cause Climate Change

A co-founder of Greenpeace told a Senate panel on Tuesday that there is no scientific evidence to back claims that humans are the “dominant cause” of climate change.

Patrick Moore, a Canadian ecologist who was a member of Greenpeace from 1971-86, told members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee environmental groups like Greenpeace use faulty computer models and scare tactics in further promoting a political agenda, Fox News reported.

More Patrick Moore statements

There is some correlation, but little evidence, to support a direct causal relationship between CO2 and global temperature through the millennia. The fact that we had both higher temperatures and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today fundamentally contradicts the certainty that human-caused CO2 emissions are the main cause of global warming.

Interesting.....

While it is true that Patrick Moore was a member of Greenpeace in the 1970s, in 1986 he abruptly turned his back on the very issues he once passionately defended. He claims he "saw the light" but what Moore really saw was an opportunity for financial gain. Since then he has gone from defender of the planet to a paid representative of corporate polluters.

Greenpeace Statement On Patrick Moore

So what is he up to now?

So what do you do if your brand is turning toxic? You hire the Canadian public relations consultant Patrick Moore. Moore runs a company based in Vancouver called Greenspirit Strategies, which has developed "sustainability messaging" for logging, mining, lead-smelting, nuclear, biotech, fish-farming and plastics companies. He is a clever rhetorician, skilled at turning an argument round. He is seen by some environmentalists as the most brazen of the spin doctors they face.

Why is a former Greenpeace activist siding with Indonesia's logging industry?

It would seem that he is a....

See, I thought that was just common sense by now? Did we learn nothing from Al Gore? He's an idiot, and made a bad movie, using lots of bad examples, to prove a point that doesn't exist!!

No worries FlyersFan, always love your threads. I think they are all idiots. I swear you don't have to be a scientist lol. This is common sense. Anyone can see there are larger storms than we have ever had before. Anyone can see the starving people all over the world because of severe drought, even here in the states.

The ice has melted in places where it never has before. All over the world glaciers have disappeared that have always been there. Glaciers that provides the water for whole cultures.

Then we see countries like China and India, north Korea, others that pump pollution thousands times the healthy limits into the atmosphere. So much so that it will effect the west coast of the state's. And they want us to believe that we are not effecting the climate, give me a break.

Everything man has done since the beginning of the industrial revolution has been effecting our climate. Pesticides are now not just found in our rivers and ocean it is now in the rain. That should tell you something. We are not just killing the planet, we are killing ourselves and our kids.

Of course we are changing the climate, the question should be what are we going to do about it. Not arguing whether we are doing it.
