The recent statement accusing The President of preferring to pay for food stamps
rather than the military is baloney.

The fact is, we have to pay for Both. It is not a matter of preference.

Here is a nice chart showing the expense of our military After a 20% reduction
compared to several of the worlds next highest military spenders.

This ought to keep things in perspective.

I really think we should keep some A-10 Warthogs at the ready though.

It also doesn't weight out when it comes to spending in the government either. DoD discretionary spending is far more than discretionary spending for welfare. Outside of that, there's some issues with the former CEO and still stockholder of Haliburton's commentary on defense spending since there was definitely question whether he abused his position to assure the single bid scenario in the Iraq War.

Cheney is a really curious bloke and considering his long term connections to a variety of curiosities within the government, if there was any puppet or perpetrator of a shadow government, it'd be him. Just my opinion though.
