Thank you Slayer, this video made me smile

Certainly does look better than a veyron.

A beast worth noting

No Veyron killer but that sound is the stuff dreams are made of.

Meh...I'll still take the Ferrari Berlinetta over any other car.

Ferrari just has what other super cars don't...

An R1? Who needs a veyron?

That is not a series production Venom GT.
Any tuned supercar can hit that speed.
Veyron is straight from factory and it`s not tuned.
Original GTR (with 550 HP) can kiss Veyrons fat a$$

en.wikipedia.org...

On February 14th, 2014, on the Kennedy Space Center’s 3.22-mile shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Hennessey team recorded a top speed of 270.49 mph with Director of Miller Motorsport Park, Brian Smith, at the wheel. As the run was in a single direction and only 11 cars have been produced to date, and is not a series production car, but registered as a modified Lotus Exige, it does not qualify as the worlds fastest production car in the Guiness Book of Records.

Veryon which cost about 40x the price of a GTR? lol

GTR can reach Veryon's speed with mod.

Veryon imo is like having a golden spatula, you will never use it to cook.

I think many of us appreciate the tech involved and the need for speed no matter what model or make

I know I do.

ive never been into the super cars. stuff like the venom and the mclaren.

if you can afford the car i know you dont concern yourself with stuff like this but im pretty sure its the bugatti. the bugatti veyron can only have tires changed in italy and it cost like 30 grand.

no thanks

i can think of 100 cars i would rather have instead of the veyron(unless of course we are talking about owning it only because of the monetary value so i could sell it right away)

Once you pass 400hp you can barely touch the gas without ripping the rubber off the wheels...

Modern computer controlled injection systems allow for stuff like programmed exponential curves in terms of throttle response. It means you can have craploads of power, yet the car will respond fairly tame if you drive it normally. (No more twitchy than something like a Toyota Corolla.) However once you get past the half-way to three-quarters point, that's when you should watch out for some head snapping acceleration. Everything will wake up at that point.

Thus I'd expect that a car which costs more than my house would be built with enough engineering knowhow and sense to make it drivable. I'd likely never get to experience it for myself, but I'd think they're not that bad.

However money doesn't buy common sense nor driving skill. People with way more money than brains will still manage to break these expensive toys on a regular basis. So I'm with you in that regard.
