Now "IT" became larger then faith. Our faith became surrounded by the nothing. The nothing which tries to make your faith the same. We lose ourselves daily, yet our faith remains what we have and is our only crutch in these times. It became bigger than us. We used to have it under control but now it grew so big there is no more stopping it yet everything defined by faith is what will make us move through these times.

Every time we speak out of faith "the nothing" or whatever you may call it withdraws and leaves us alone until it comes back, every time to be forced to be withdrawn again by our faith.

The walls we build against it crumbled. The chains we put on it dissappeared. Those with faith became small, but small is the way to go, and the way to go until the end.

Many have lost faith until now, some didn't. The loss of these people can be a burden, but we receive guidance to move on. The bridges we burned leaving behind what we did are now restored.

Those who mocked realised. Haha!

Don't be a fool.

Have you read A wrinkle in TIme? ? Your OP reminds me of the premise of the book.

Meg looked. The dark shadow was still there. It had not lessened or dispersed with the coming of night. And where the shadow was the stars were not visible.

What could there be about a shadow that was so terrible that she knew that there had never been before or ever would be again, anything that would chill her with a fear that was beyond shuddering, beyond crying or screaming, beyond the possibility of comfort? (4.131-132)

The focus on time here is interesting – the Black Thing is not just the worst thing at this moment, but the worst thing that every was or ever will be. It's interesting too that the text focuses on Meg. On the one hand, it makes sense, since she's our window into the text (see "Narrator Point of View"), but since the text has also emphasized the limitations on her understanding, focusing on the Black Thing being the worst thing she could experience doesn't close off the option of there being something so bad it's beyond Meg's ability to comprehend it.

Calvin turned, rejecting the dark Thing that blotted out the light of the stars. "Make it go away, Mrs. Whatsit," he whispered. "Make it go away. It's evil." (4.136)

Calvin's reaction seems almost visceral – without any knowledge of what the Black Thing is or does, he immediately judges it to be evil. Perhaps evil is beyond reason?

Those who rejoice in their own wisdom, play a song of fools.
(looking at you op)

If someone lost faith than their faith wasn't very good to start with.
Faith is believing...if they lost faith than maybe they didn't truly believe.

Not into religion but felt this needed to be said.

There are very few people of true faith anymore. Most people either twist their faith for their own ends or pick out parts of their faith to follow. Even the Pope doesn't truthfully follow his faith.

Well tell IT to get lost.

This is interesting to me; what would you call 'true faith', I would call it unquestioning knowingness of the truth of the way creation came about, or understanding how 'no-thingness' that does exist can eventually manifest itself (eventually into a human form). Faith in general seems to be based in someone elses written(scripture) or false words spoken as pulpit jockeys as interpreters of as you say a specific regimine/disapline to be corrupted by the leaders that are expousing it . There have been Popes/Cardinals alike that have questioned their faith in the RCC practices. It part of their process as theologians (you would hope). In this case the Jesuits were primarily the instigators. If one were to look at the plethora of religious sects denominations something should scream out "WHY SO MANY of such diversity" (just within the Christian domaine alone).

It is too faith, it takes total faith, you do not see a change in the consecrated host and the consecrated wine. Though, sometimes God allows Eucharistic miracles to help people believe. Who could imagine! God in the consecrated host, such humility.

Would someone help me, I am not computer savvy. I do not know how to post a photo at ATS.

This photo is worth it.

I need to protect myself. See what's right. Accept the world. Study so I can learn, or I will always be at the mercy of another. It may not teach me right from wrong, take away my life and my things, every which way but the right way. What would make me think they would teach us the truth.

Through the pain and struggle to know the truth about spirit. I will still give, and won't forget. It doesn't matter that what they teach is wrong. Step after step. This is how I feel. I may not always win but I have faith and won't let that change.
