Also there is a recent thread on the Paracas skulls nonsense, and perhaps a few more from before.

There's an update going around now. The findings are a little lofty…

Hill added “It’s not supported by a university, but by private funding. The initial findings were released in this unprofessional way (via Facebook, websites and an Internet radio interview) obviously because Foerster and the other researchers think this is very exciting news.”

Exciting news is one thing, but scientific credibility is another. “[S]cience doesn’t work by social media,” said Hill. “Peer review is a critical part of science and the Paracas skulls proponents have taken a shortcut that completely undermines their credibility. Appealing to the public’s interest in this cultural practice we see as bizarre — skull deformation —instead of publishing the data for peer-review examination is not going to be acceptable to the scientific community.”

There’s also the matter of the testing itself. According to Foerster, the geneticist who discovered the allegedly never-before-seen DNA, wants to remain anonymous. If that’s not a red flag for the credibility of your research, I don’t know what is.

www.peruthisweek.com...

Nothing wrong with setting your own goals and private funding, but they should release the paper where they made the "findings".

Last I heard, the "geneticist" that was doing the "testing" was Melba Ketchum.

Who's Melba Ketchum?
A cat veterinarian that's a "self trained" geneticist with zero credentials to go with it, who's also responsible for claiming Opossum DNA belonged to Bigfoot.

Of all the legitimate labs that could be used, why her?
ah, uh, probably because she'll tell you anything you want to pay her to tell you.

I don't blame Brian at all for doing this privately. So many governments and religious secs are known and have covered up findings like these because it does not fit their agendas or so called rights to the lands they claim. He is trying to find out the truth before its stripped from him. If these are found to be non human then everything we know of history is bunk. How many governments, religious nuts, scientist, elitist, and so forth would want everything they have done to rule over the populations completely dissolved. Just look at China, covering up the ancient pyramids in their country and denying ancient remains of red haired people found.

It doesn't really matter because it's already happening. Look how many of you are already moving forward with debunking and outright denying this. You don't have to be a scientist to clearly see that the Paracas Skulls are different from human cradle boarding skulls. The eye sockets are slightly different. Jaw bones are larger. There is no center suture in the top center of the skull from the front to the back as in normal human skulls.

I am a believer that the skulls are from an ancient advanced worldwide civilization that existed before a great cataclysm wiped them out. We have tell tell signs being discovered daily yet because they don't fit into the "mainstream" idea of how we came about in the past, they are just shoved under the rug and hidden.

I for one applaud Brian for his way of handling this discovery and will be watching it closely.

I agree with you 100% sgthamsandwich I will be watching this one closely as well ,it is a subject I have always been interested in and I think these things are real too ,and they are not the first set of skulls found like this in world I don't know why everyone is so shocked, guaranteed they are a part of history on earth that has been covered up for what reasons I'm not sure but I have a few different theories,I think sometimes people on ats are to quick to jump to conclusions and to quick to say things have been debunked when there is not enough information ,that is why we are all here is it not to seek truth not just argue each others hypothesis and end up nowhere ,obviously no one can really know for sure untill the proper research has been done and testing procedures are complete and all the factors that prove or disprove the theory are proposed.

I am also a believer that South America is the true home of "Atlantis". Now I know Atlantis is a touchy subject and everyone has their opinions and hopes but there is too many coincidences with Plato's description of Atlantis and Bolivia. I'm not saying it's fact or anyone else is wrong so please don't flame me, just that I believe is all. Who knows, maybe the Paracas people could be the advanced Atlantians of lore. If in fact their cranial volume is larger than humans then it's not far fetched to assume they would have more intelligence. Now we all know what happens when you "assume" but it would be super cool to solve the "Atlantis" mystery.

Well I cant say for sure what to think about their methods other then what you have mentioned . It should also be said that even main stream science has shown some Pal review going on with some of their papers as well .There is a good post by Stephen Mcintyre at climate auditclimateaudit.org... that has a series of some of the stuff that Michael Mann and his group have tried to pull off so salt salt salt ..There is also a strange thing about all or a lot of the giant skulls and bones missing that were found in USA earlier on .It just might be that that is why Skull and Bones was established to begin with .

I do belive we are on the same train of thought here and I bet we share alot of the same beliefs and or theories on many subjects,I agree with the whole plato's description of Atlantis thing too it's uncanny and I do belive he was actually there,I hope the earth herself starts belching out all her long hidden secrets ,alot of things have already come to the surface especially these elongated skulls, pyramids being unearthed and civlizations being discovered that are thousands of years older than archeologists anticipated but more is needed to sway the minds of non believers .you should add me as a freind if you want

Hmmm now that is interesting ,I can see that being a very plausible way that the skull and bones came to choose that particular name.
