He rebooted the Australian party and had a really good response, so he funded his own party named Palmer United Party. I am not very well versed in politics although I like his enthusiasm and his innovative ideology and am curios on other people opinions of his party and himself as a politician?

clive palmer is a rich miner.
he is only in it for himself, he talks the good talk, but the name of his party will tell you who he serves.

within weeks of his election, a controversial new coal mine (he was applying for) was green lighted..

naaah not suss at all!

politics here in australia is beyond a joke. we will be in recession before the end of 2014.

There is also that new coal port that has been recently approved, which will dump a few million tons of gunk on the great barrier reef. Not sure what role clive played, but expect his support for it as he made his millions in mining. Clive is a capitalist, with people like him running the country the rich will be richer, as for the rest of us meh...

How dumb and stupid can Australians be for voting for a private political party owned and controlled by a billionaire. Whats next the Monsanto party candidate, perhaps "the austrlaian minining industry" party, perhaps the "austrlaian oil industry party. I reckon
Australians are dumb and stupid enough for vote them to.

I know! what about the 'Australain pharma party.'

Yeah agree naming the party after himself was a bad move because it certainly gives you that opinion, to be honest everybody looks after themselves first and if they don't, they should. He hasn't been elected yet if i'm not correct he just has a few seats so he has no more political power then he had before as a billionaire. Its known there are presidential advisors who are usually the most elite and wealthiest of the country, this is how the party's are funded.
So what he has done has funded his own party so their will be no advisors hiding behind the black curtain pulling the strings they are right there in the open, this is how it should be I reckon. In the link you posted dont you think Karl is being a wanker?

How retarded can you be for putting dumb and stupid next to each other, I was really hoping for something like some links and opinions about his proposals. Not a generalization about all miners. Although I did have a chuckle about the party names you suggested

Like I said above though its known there are presidential advisors who are usually the most elite and wealthiest of the country, this is how the party's are funded. The Rockafella's basically control America right? Difference their is you think its a totally different person and everytime you try vote them out you wonder why the same # keeps happening.

This guy is self-centered and isn't a candidate I would highly recommend..

When he first appeared I liked him but since then, I have caught on to what his really about.
His only worried about lining his own pockets I hope he varnish soon as I can't stand the drama queen.

Is that you Clive?

Himself? Don't know the guy personally but do have a distrust towards anyone that wished to govern or be in a position of Government.

His party? Its just another chain in the cog, added to give choice to us the people, yet how is any Party different, they all want controlling power and know they need each other to keep up the charade of democracy.
