As You Turned Around and Walked Away [Feb2014]

As you turned around and walked away,
A thousand words I wished to say.
But I kept quiet and watched you go,
Now all I have are these tears to show.

As you slowly faded from my view,
My heart cried out tears for you.
For all in vain cause you did not hear,
You left me, never to reappear.

The more I cried, the more it hurt,
Wishing you'd return and offer me comfort.
As day turned to night, you never did return,
Yet the fire in my heart continues to burn.

In time, I know I'll be fine,
I'm just glad you were once mine.
I treasure every moment spent with you,
Life was perfect with just me and you.

I still remember your laughter, remember your smile,
You made me complete; my life worthwhile.
I wish you the best in everything you do,
One day you will realize what I saw in you.

It's all in the past, it wasn't meant to be,
What we had was special, too bad you couldn't see.
Although we will never be together,
The moments we shared will last forever.
