Anytime people start the satanic lyrics or interpretation of a performer's music I think back to the late 70's. The Floyd was touring America in
support of the Animals album and practically all of them described the scene. While the band is putting out a progressive beat-politically motivated
lyrics( Waters infamous 'Hey there White House ha ha charade you are) and are doing some serious music that has meaning to them. This is important
stuff-their own 'New World Order'
However the audience is all wrapped up in the drug induced psychedelic image the record company used to promote the band in America where up to 75
sales were dismal. I think it was Gilmore that said it best "we had nothing whatsoever in common with the audience-they were interpreting our music
and effort in the exact opposite way it was intended-it was bizarre" They were about the most non drug band in history-they didn't even drink
beer-yet the listeners are predisposed with an image-that is just not true.
Same way with other artist-the whole 'satanic lyrics' usually comes from the listeners interpretation or a reprogrammable image.
