I watched this documentary last night - it is an extra on the film 'Inception' - it is fascinating.
At the end the question is asked - how can you prove that this is not a dream?

There is no direction or authority when one realizes it is just a dream - the dream just appears as it does - it is found to be amazing. It is no longer a competition or puzzle so big, small, good and bad don't even come into it.

When you dream you are living an experience in your head in some way, you aren't actually living, but when you do you can't distinguish it from reality. Unless it's lucid dreaming of course...
So, what is keeping me from believing this is all a projection of my own mind? Maybe you are all here to help me realizing this, maybe you don't. Maybe every single scientist studying quantum physics and the universe is just a part of me who's trying to understand.

Everything is fractals, so yes your part of something bigger.

Yes, we are all "Gods" of our own parallel universe, apx 7 billion different versions of human reallity exist on this planet.

It is all about faith, you create what you believe.

You got your senses, the conclusion: I am.

If you want answers, dont look "outside" on the "creations" their all slightly different. Look at the source "inside".

Right here and now there is an appearance - is there any fear when one sees and hears what is actually happening?
Then there can be an idea of other times and places - the mind projects past and future - it projects what is not happening - it plays what if.
Here and now is not a problem but the mind imagines times and places that may appear to be a problem.

God forgets he is God and pretends to other - to be man/mind. When there is a tending to next or any thing other than what is there is contraction - it is an identification with form.

Anyway, life is what ever you want it to be. there's really nothing objective, since everything is filtered through our subjective senses. the only thing that could be considered "objective" is that you are experiencing something. this is what Descartes was saying with "I think, therefore I am."

Good post. I've had "experiences" in which I came to see everyone as an interactive personification of a part of my own mind, representing different qualities I see in myself. And all difficult people you come across in your life are really a way of battling your own demons and learning to overcome them.

But you are the god of your universe, the main person. Except we all are and everything one sees is just an echo of the real universe which might have different interpretations.

Nah they don't really. People listen to themselves and agree with whatever they tell themselves. Hopefully everyone starts agreeing to help each other, that would be good.

But we already are helping eachother since we have a society of specialists. I get a flat tire, some specialist can look at it and it's no more than fair that person receives money for fixing my tire. Meanwhile I get money for things I know. This is better since there are so many things one can learn it would take a lifetime to learn everything.

Otherwise listen to your inner truth. And if it doesn't work out for you, study nature and convince yourself what it is telling you.

It is now a multiverse I think. What do you think?

That whatever 'it' is exists in your universe as something true and exist in mine and I might think it is either true or untrue. But we would need advanced brain imaging scanners to take a picture of whatever 'it' is you are referring to and compare them to make more sense. Otherwise it's all wrong premises, that we think we're talking about the same thing here but might not at all.

But for arguments sake, I think it's more like different dimensions all sprouting from this one dimension which is completely empty of life and is infinite. For example a couple of rocks might be moved through natural causes like earthquakes or gravity or whatever and they might be rearranged to form something to the beholder. Just so tiny bits of reality might form to become DNA and life as we know it since it talks back unlike the rocks.

In another way comparing people with standalone headless servers (meaning no monitor attached or anything else but a camera and mic) to illustrate my point, each running a server with an MMORPG game which contains an entire world. The camera and mic are pointed at a screen which shows the empty universe and if something moves there that same thing is moved in the world on the harddrive. But we all have different harddrives where the copy of the original world is contained in just as we all have our own brains which contain a translation of the original universe. This allows people to say in their world for example God exists while in another God doesn't exist. On one harddrive there is a file which contains information about God and says it is true, in the other there isn't or there is some information labeled as 'untrue', it's all different atoms.

..it's like saying

..can you please do something
about the state of the place we're living in?

Reminds me of lucid dreaming, I am my own god while I dream.
Think of it as inception, you create your own sand boxed world.
Create,populate,delete,take over etc.
You can fly like superman, you can run at the speed of light,
you can teleport anywhere you want, etc.etc. Whatever
your imagination is capable of.
Anyone can achieve it, all it takes is awareness and practice,
very fun and enlightening experience.


I see this idea more feasible during lucid dreaming.
Because its achievable and and its very real.

As for reality, reality has constraints/limitations.
We are shackled in reality, while in dreams, you are
not shackled.

When I think about it, I've had lucid dreams which lasted a LONG ass time,
felt like I was living in another reality, as a different person
And when I finally wake up,
only 1 hour has passed of actual time, my mind is like BLOWN.
These type of dreams I dont like to take control, I rather follow
the script that my mind has in place and see where it takes me;
quite fun actually.

Sorta I guess, I get bizarre responses from myself from the characters in the dream, in which
I have no idea where I absorbed this info, sometimes im like "ok" .
Funny anyway how "you" as a person screws with the "you" thats in the dream.

yeah.....i've had some bizarre dreams myself. It may just credit your unique facets.
