How are you under beta NDA still? According to the ESO launcher, the beta NDA was lifted 2/14/14. Anyways if any ATS members wanna try it out, I still have that beta key.

Not all beta's are the same .. I am under a different NDA. I can only speak on things up to level 17. Let's just say my access goes quite a bit beyond that.

My wife got that as well and I'm just thinking good for her

.....mumble mumble mumble

From the email she showed me no
its compleatly different and a different client as well
then the beta's that are going on now.

Client A: main stream beta which NDA is taken off
Client B: has a code name, and different forums as well. Which will even go on
after ESO goes gold and released 4/4/14.

guys just tell me if I have to make a new topic about it....

Bethesda forums have the obama healthcare system to apply (for americans) and one person made a complaint in the forums, because he cant register his game and pay subscription to play Elder scrolls online, if he wont apply in obama care first!!!

to add an RFID chip and something about gun laws..

I got shocked.. anyway, many people including me, having a chat in this topic (inside bethesda forums) but the moderators, erased TOTALLY the whole topic, they didnt even locked it.

whats goin on there.. You cant play video games if you dont turn your guns in? And if u wont apply in obamacare??

here is the bethesda forum and in the btm you can see the obama care application... Anyway, the complaint is real, if you are an american, YOU CANT play the game if you dont apply in obama care! forums.bethsoft.com...

------------ what a crock of.......... ----------------

If I was a mod on the forum there I would have removed it as well.
Has nothing to do with the game and it's just trying to stur up nonsence.

You CAN play the game if you buy it and pay the monthly fee, and as long as your computer can handle it. A broadband conection. Unless you go for console then there is no problem.

the link on the bottom? this ?.. www.mentalhealth.gov...

I don't see anywhere saying on that page that it is Obamacare and you have to sign up with this.
Nothing about Guns, giving guns up or a freaking rfid chip. Nothing about you need to do this before playing.

I do believe it could be there incase someone starts to feel addicted to the game
since mmorpgs have a tendancy to get some people to play more then they should.
It's easy to say "Hay we have a link on the bottom for anyone who might need help", then to take a lawsuit.

I spoke about a complaint someone made.. A guy in the forums said, that he couldnt register his game, without applying for obama care first.. lol And another bellow his comment, repplied that has something to do with the gun laws. LOL

I dont live in the USA and I dont give a "thing" about obama... I only read it as a complaint in bethesda forums and transferd it here, because I found it strange.

I played the beta last week, it's a generic mmo. And it's not worth the asking price. Honestly, avoid it. There are much better games on the market that do this right at a much cheaper cost.

Can you name a few? I've been playing the beta for a little while now and I like it. I'm just not sure because of the price. The PVP was a lot of fun as well but my internet speed sucks so it lagged a lot around the strongholds and other large battles. Killing my first guy 1v1 was a blast tho.

In my eyes it goes like this:

Pros:
------
-I fell in love with TES in Morrowwind and it has gotten better since. (To non-Elder Scroll fans not so much a pro.)
-I felt the game mechanics were pretty balanced. (But then again my main character through the beta only got to lvl 16 so take that for what it's worth)
-I enjoyed the ability to make multiple characters.
-Raw resources were relatively easy to get early in game.

Cons:
------
-$60+15/month cost
-Large unit count battles froze my connection. (My connection is DSL so crappy compared to most so to be expected.)
-Expect to pay a lot of money for bank and backpack space unless you decide to specialize.
-I haven't been able to afford a horse myself but they seem pretty vital to efficient travel around the map.

Neutral:
-------
-Crafting items seems very important in the "long game" but collecting supplies and buying the obsidian, bone, etc, stone needed to craft items doesn't seem to give good returns AFAIK. Maybe Bethesda will tweak it or maybe it's fine once you get to higher lvls. IDK
-A lot of people on other forums have complained about the Pre-order Imperial getting to chose any alliance and how that might throw off the mechanics of the game. I didn't get a chance to play as Imperial so no idea there but something to keep in mind.

Just as a side note ESO Update 3/14/14(14/3/14 for the non-US world)

If you’re reading this, you’re probably one of the 5 million people that have registered for the ESO beta, and likely participated in one of our large beta tests. That’s a wonderfully large number of people who have become part of our ESO community, and it continues to grow.

Even if only 1 million decide to pay the sub fee that's $15 million in their pockets in the 1st month and every month thereafter. I totally agree with supporting what you like but does it even cost Bethesda $5 million per month to maintain the hardware, software, and technicians/user support for this game? From what I've seen of the beta NO, but as stated before my exposure is limited.

Good round up.

My problem is can I see myself playing this a few months after launch? I don't think so...I may just wait til it comes down in price.
My other problem with the game was itis a bit anti climatic, I got to many a end of line the quest expecting something at the end which wasn't just pick up this item but that was it, no boss battle just pick something up you win.
I did enjoy the multiplayer but I just don't see it being worth the price.

6/10 for me (beta anyhow).

What makes it generic? What MMO's are better?

Well the NDA I was under is lifted. I was on the PTS server (Psijic Order Player Test Server). My character is a Templar, VR6. I had complete access to the game, everything except Adventure Zones which are just being added.

Pros:
Crafting system is great.
PvP is fantastic and fun.
Lot of variety and you are not stuck in just 1 role with your character
Graphics are great.
Dungeons are fun.
Combat is great.

Cons:
They need good high level crafted items. On the PTS server (which is complete game minus Adventure Zones) there were none.
They need to make vanity items/pets/trophies not take bag space.
Unhappy about a recent Templar change.
I don't like the idea of solo quests.

I played it too and in 2 days I got lvl 19... It looks very easy. Anyway, you could get a horse with 1 gold in beta. I got mine with 1 gold! I made a high elf sorc AD alliance. I really enjoyed grahwood area.

I agree with the sub thing, its to much in modern times. 10-15 years ago, they gave us excuses for the server costs. Now there is no such. It is just plain greediness. Its just to give them a monthly profit. But I hope to be careful with it and dont make have the same bad fate with wow. Wow was very legit in the beginning and it ended up being like a luna park for compulsive people.

I believe crafting is a very plus thing, because at gap lvl, when u dont have anything to do... you can find yourself as good vendor and gather gold, power... make a good guild. It seems ESO will focus into a crafting and item guilds, not pve or pvp guilds. Because they also implemented the AH as a guild thing. (I believe the guild trade will fail), I also hope, that they may implement marriage between NPC and turn into personal vendors (interactive), so u can visit little shops and do ur shopping. Because right now, marriage is a strange thing into ESO... marriage between players for experience boost!!! What a dull..
The most #$#$# thing I ve ever seen... Lets hope they change that.

If 3-4m of people join the game (swtor was 2m), then its a warranty, that you wont be able to create a character in a few months!. The biggest problem "megaservers" have, is the naming of your character! Swtor had to delete millions of names, for the new players be able to play, after they turn into megaservers! What about ESO.

Are u going to make any ATS guild?

I was really excited about this game. However I cannot justify to my wife why we should pay $15 a month for a subscription. I have already paid $500 for the Xbone (which primarily sits unused) then I have to pay $60+tax for the game. For the Xbox One there is also the Xbox Live subscription you have to pay which is $5/month. Now Zenimax wants me to pay another $15. This is absolutely horrible. Can you imagine if every game adopts this policy? Want to play CoD or BF4 online? Pay a sub for each. This would essentially destroy multi-player gaming as we know it.

The game may be awesome and I was really looking forward to playing it, but as it stands I am just going to have to pass. I am not made of money.....
