When I was 12 or 13 years old, we use to live in a pre world war 2 house. It was draftee and old. My brother was sleeping down stairs with his then wife. They had a awful row about something sometime before. For some reason in the middle of the night, I woke up and was transfixed to a military poster on the wall and the image of a man with the worlds we want you for the army, or words to that effect written underneath. Around this image, the same image was spinning round and around. I don't know how long I was in this state, but eventually I fell asleep.

In the morning my elder brother told me he and his wife saw my grandfather (who died before I was born) standing in the corner wearing a three piece suit, he wasn't moving he was just in the corner then the image disappeared.

I wonder if the row and the feelings expressed triggered something like this to occur?

First of all, don't let someone who wasn't there attempt to talk you out of your experience. Especially if there was more than one witness. Well, you didn't see the entity, but still. I have found that the reasons for hauntings can vary, although on some level they are all interconnected. There have been many hypotheses put forth, yet it is difficult to actually test them, considering the subject we are dealing with. If all the variables could be controlled, then of course such things would become more clear, but it is not possible with our current level of advancement.

Although we probably have some of the physics necessary to explain paranormal events at present, I believe that, and so do a handful of prominent scientists, that theoretical physicists have been on the wrong track for a long time. I had long been thinking that Einstein's Theories of Relativity were inherently flawed regarding the nature of time, and if this is correct it has implications on various aspects of physics. But I do believe he was right in other instances. I mean people should realize that physicists don't have all the answers, even to the most basic of questions, considering that we don't have a working formula for everything in the known world.

In fact, we have to use different theories for matter, depending on the concentration, or mass of the body. There is something inherently flawed with that, and I think physicists will continue to fail in both their search for a Grand Unified Theory, and a Theory of Everything, a GUT and a TOE, respectively.

My entire point is that there are going to be people who try to tell you that you didn't experience what you did. It is strange how they can know what you did or did not experience, considering they were not present, but apparently these people are more intelligent than everbody else. Or maybe they are psychic, although they still don't buy into psychic phenomenon. Now that is a paradox, lol. No, I'm just kidding.

As for the reason these experiences happened, I cannot say for sure. I would think that there is some reason, and maybe someone who has more experience with such things will respond.

I have firsthand experience with paranormal events/anomalies (many times) , one day, only mom and i home ,her in the livingroom ,me in the kitchen and the rocking chair between her and i (too far for either one of us to reach it ,15 feet of so) rocked by itself. We both witnessed it and understood right away. I think it happens to most families but not discussed much.... i had my fair share and still do.
