This year the Soccer World Cup is going to be in Brazil. If something bad happens there, surely people will link it to this.

The video only showed lightning rods on the right hand. That explains it. No big mystery here.

The higher an object is in the sky the greater the chances it gets hit by lightning as it always takes the shorter path.

I had a "wtf" when I was browsing the news articles and came across this and another one titled "nun gives birth to baby, unaware she was pregnant".

Turns out the Nun likely had sex with a Priest and it was just the thumb that fell of the statue.
