It has been my experience that many people who complain of the flu do not actually have it. They are sick I do not dispute that, just that it isn't
the flu.
It used to be that whenever you got the flu shot they would tell you that you may get a little sick. That would be your body fighting a phantom
infection which gave you an immunity the rest of the year.
As far as I am concerned I don't care if people elect to get the flu shot unless they work in the medical field especially around elderly. If they
don't agree with it then find a different line of work.
I have never had the flu myself, but I have gotten plenty of flu shots. Their have been years I didn't as well. I am not sure where that fits into the
empirical evidence.
