Life interrupted through the grade school years is a blessing in disguise and also a curse.
Several times through elementary school, and during middle school, I was uprooted and began anew.
I quickly learned the the game of fitting in and making new friends through observance. It wasn't always easy, but I managed.
I changed myself to fit in with them.
The downside is I lost myself in those years of change.
Forgot who I really was.
Rediscovering yourself in your late forties kind of sucks.
It sucks for the people around you who they thought they knew who you were.
But, that's ok because I have finally found my happiness, my true self.
The point to all this is to be true to yourself and be true to those around you.
Don't try to fit in, if someone doesn't like you for who you are, well then, they can move on.
Your happiness and well being is what counts, screw the rest of them.
Peace,
K
