In this case, the girl is just evading capture. What do they call that, personal medical treatment....for persons with means...concierge care that's it..... If I am not mistaken, there is a difference in data filing when you go this route. It may be possible to have treatment without an IV line straight to the Utah vampire beast bloodbank. Privacy, if you can afford it.

I know all about medicine. I know that once you go through that gate, you are strafed. A miracle if you don't take a mortal hit.

The game seems to be addictive. Oh look at all the things that 'we found' that are wrong and need an adjustment. But if that were all it was, all well and good. We hope that the doctors are doing the best that they can.

But 'enslavement' is putting it mildly.

Insurers, administrators, and government bureaucrats, all of whom contribute nothing, just ordered a steak dinner, forever.

Everyone else dines a terminal feast of worms.

And when are we going to talk about the quality of the new MD's coming out of school? I am hoping that brilliant minds will pursue medicine, but does anyone believe these doctors will meet you under the BO plan?

I see house searches, for tobacco, and cigarette butts, in the future.

This fall out of your nose, did it?

Central Services at your service.......

This is a dragnet.

I hope the girl escapes.

Wowza!

I drive by there every now and then and didn't realize that was the reason they had been closing. Never crossed my mind that they'd be closing for good since the restaurants been there since I can remember although he did shut down for awhile a bit ago. I almost got a job there a few years back.

He's definitely got my support now after reading this it sounds like the family needs all the help they can receive after the father had moved on. The article says that most of the immediate family works for De Beyer so I imagine they are part of his family as well after spending that time together. Hopefully someone will offer enough to pay for treatment and let them live their lives malady free. As the restaurant being right on Lake Conroe I do not doubt that the real estate is sought after. Gonna find more info next time I'm that way, I'll probably stop in and shake his hand, buy him a bier and let them know they have some more support.

Thanks for sharing this with everyone. It's heartwarming to see that some people will still help those that deserve it.

ohh and im onto you white knight

Have I told you yet your avatar is ridiculous it makes me laugh no matter how serious the subject of the thread? Well consider yourself told and thank you! This is a pretty serious, yet uplifting, thread, and for a second or two I am in sublime silliness.

Now to the matter at hand, obviously the owner and the employee's family and the employee have a close bond. For the owner to do this is astonishing, and blame for all of it goes to the USA's government. Period.

How is it the governments fault? Did the government tell this guy to not provide insurance for his employees? Had he done this he could have kept his business and she would have gotten the medical treatment she needed.

What happened to "why should I pay for healthcare of others?"

Now, the same people are praising this guy for something they are loathe to even consider.

Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

As others have said this is stupid. Give her $20k to pay premiums and copays for the next year. Do it again next year if needed.

Instead he is selling the business, potentially putting her whole family out of work.

I think his generosity is being way overblown.

I wonder if there is some back story here that we don't know about. Real life drama, days of our lives and hidden romance. The article said that the girls mom and her older sister also worked at this place. Maybe she is his daughter and it's a secret? Doesn't really matter either way but it could happen.

Well he could just say frak it and not do a thing about it at all.

He wanted to sell anyway before they knew that there were any problems with the girl or her father just now [that there is an apparent problem] he is offering to help her with the medical expenses. I've personally conversed with the man before and he seems legitimately kind and a warm person so its unlikely, to me at least, that this is any kind of marketing ploy. As for insurance...im not even going there on this thread. I will try to get more info on what will happen if he does indeed sell it in regards to the family and their jobs.

I don't see how people see a problem with this at all ,and if you do, well you're drunk on too much doom pr0n.

Years ago I was cramming for exams and my neighbor offered to look after my pup for the day. Later that evening I went to her door, knocked and asked for my pup back. She said "oh, I thought you took her cause she's not in the backyard" Whaaaat? Spent the hours looking for her, gave up. Then my girlfriend went out to look and just as luck would have it, someone was letting her out to do her business when she walked by. She came back with my pooch and I was beyond relieved.

I guess my point is, that neighbor should have just kept her "good will" to herself. F## was I mad.

You guys really need to fix that health situation.

A complete overhaul..

Total universal health...

Just model it off a successful health system. It's really not that hard.

Thoughts go out to all those who've suffered the consequences of incompetent legislators.

To say the government told this guy not to provide health insurance for his employees is CORRECT. Maybe you missed all the news stories lately about how all kinds of employers everywhere had their group insurance coverage dropped by their insurance company, all because of the ACA..

Something isn't right here? People had until 12/24 to sign up for coverage effective 1/1. Unless she found out in the past week, she could have easily signed up for coverage. She can sign up right now for coverage effective 2/1.

This is why the Koch brothers are so evil to try to convince young people not to get health insurance. It will absolutely end up killing a number of people. ERs will only treat you for emergencies - if something will kill you next month you are out of luck.
