The forecast for the Packers vs. Niners wildcard game tomorrow is -7 degrees F. I couldn't imagine playing a game in those temps, or being a fan and freezing my toes off instead of watching on my comfy couch. I enjoy going to football games, I go to one or two a year, and it can be cold here in New England, but damn! -7 without the windchill factor (which is supposed to be -30 F) that's pretty damn cold.

That place is going to be filled with fans that are very dedicated, or very drunk.

I think that we'll see a bit of both. Though most Packers fans are loveable drunks. They don't get to mean like some of the fan bases do.

Those who sell hand/feet warmers should be doing brisk (pun intended) business right about now.

I can't imagine it. We hold season tickets to our alma mater's home games, so I've gone to some very cold and very unpleasant football games weatherwise. We went to one this year that was below freezing the entire time, but this sort of thing ... I'd have to think long and hard about whether or not I could go that weekend, and I sat through a Cotton Bowl where everything was coated in 1/8" of ice!

They had a really hard time selling the tickets, the game was going to be blacked out to local tv if they didn't sell out corporate partners had to step in to help ticket sales to sell the game out, i wonder why lol

With the windchill its suppose to be like -30 or some god awful number

As a rabid Green Bay Packers fan, I humbly volunteer to buy a ticket to this game, as it will likely be one of the only times I could get into this stadium for a game (packers home game tickets are worth many times their weight in gold).

green Bay all the way!!!!!!!!

I have a buddy up there in a US Army Reserve unit and a company gave them a handful of tickets to give out to deserving members.

I am soooo jealous!

They actually get them alot.

I am seething with unbridled jealousy right now, i could not imagine getting FREE tickets to a Green Bay home game, I would give my left testy for one swear to GOD!!!

I am one that would when Green Bay puts out a notice they need people to come a shovel the field of snow, happily come, and feel like i was being done a favor for the honor.

I love Green Bay for all that they stand for, they never have to PAY people to shovel snow from the field, fans happily do it for free at the asking.

It is a rare day that they dont sell out, apocalypse is I believe the official websters dictionary term for a situation in which they do not do so.

If you look up up green bay on google, you get a pic of Chuck Norris on bended knee bowing to a picture of Vince Lombardi, Brett Favre and Aaron rogers. That says alot...I mean Chuck Norris once cured a cancer patient with a single tear, from laughing at someone who thought Green Bay wouldnt win!!!!

Order of importance to me in my life.

Kids!!!!!! No 1 without fail!!!!!

Green Bay Packers, easiest second pick ever!!!!

Bills, GOD I dont even like this one at all!!!!

Work?...well about 12th on the list, but it is important, as I have to feed and cloth the kiddos, and pay the cable/beer sausage penalty for the Green Bay game.

I live in Texas, it was great to get to see the look on the dallas fans faces after their defeat on Dec. 15.

Only better moment in my life was the first time I got to see "the babies" for the first time.

When I was in the Reserves, I had a bud, who is a rabid Browns fan, get free tickets to a pre-season game at Lambeau. He rubbed it in my face so I promptly informed him that he would be attending a training exercise in Germany. So sorry.

I even produced the orders for him...they were actually legit and told him that I would buy the tickets from him. He was crushed.

But I couldn't do it. It was abuse of my station and I let him off the hook. But he never did mess with me again and actively discouraged others from doing so as well. So that's a plus side to it.

When he came back, he told me that he had never met more polite fans than Green Bay fans. They even bought him a beer after they had lost. He was kind of flabbergasted by it all. I think that he is now a closet Packer Backer. I mean really? What have the Browns done in the past 15 years?

Man, we just had to bring this game up?

Yeah, it will be cold as heck there tomorrow. I do not think that is the reason they had a hard time selling tickets.

Word of warning to the faithful (of which I am one, albeit reluctantly), you may not want to read any further:

The chances of GB playing well and beating the 9-ers is less than a tropical heat wave hitting Lambeau tomorrow for the game. The fans cannot take the heartbreak, at least in that kinda' cold.

The GB defense has been spotty at best this year. SF's ground game and short yardage passing game will punish it. Yes AR is back but with high winds, how effective will those miracle long passes be?

Granted I have been wrong before. I very well could be wrong about tomorrow. The NFL is crazy this year.

NFL is fixed. 49ers beat GB. T.V ratings favor SF advancing. Colts/Chiefs game=great entertainment. Still fixed. What the Chiefs had 6 injuries in the game?? BS. Its all fake. Watch this clip of 2 NFL players faking an injury, thinking they are off camera.

NFL FIXED

Saints will lose in Seattle. SF beats Green Bay, then beats Carolina. Think about T.V ratings and who they can market the best.
Here is a commercial from early in the season of Kap playing R. Wilson in video games.

Madden Commercial

Obviously they can market these 2 quarterbacks. Meaning we will see them both in the playoffs, and most likely facing each other. That game too will be fixed, and my prediction would be with the 49ers.

Not exactly eating crow as I figure SF would win BUUUUUT GB made a game of it. Not bad. It came down to Caperdork running all over the place and a couple of defense mistakes on the last SF drive.

Look at it this way faithful, the Pack lost by a last second field goal. Other teams in the NFL with better records played at lot worse this weekend. I will include SF in this.

Even though I'm a avid Packer fan...it's not the end all and be all of my life. It was a great game and congrats to all the SF fans out there.

There's always next year!

100% true...but you know there are those out there who will be depressed for days now. Luckily I grew up a Packer fan
I know their ways. I have built up immunity. I have watched them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for decades. Not as bad as the Lions though....zeeeesssshhhh

You think we have it bad. I live near Cleveland....

I think this town is cursed, especially when it comes to sports. The Browns are a farm team to the rest of the NFL and the kiss of death to any who QB for them. I can't wait to move back to Wisconsin.

LOL nfl is fixed, the youtube vid you showed is what players do now when teams run a no huddle offense cause it makes them to tired. So that doesn't go with you point of nfl being fixed. The only way to fix a game IMO is get to the refs. And show me that proof and we can start talking. You didn't even point out the event, or chain i should say that happened this season. Chargers had like a 10% chance to get into the playoffs come week 16, Im pretty sure they needed 2 teams to lose that week just to give them a chance to have 3 other teams lose come week 17.. These players are to cocky to fix games or be a part of it. And if you say NFL is fixed, you better be able to prove NBA,MLB,NHL are fixed too. And youtube won't be solid prove

I would disagree. There may be some dirty refs that are on the take (I've seen some pretty bad calls), but it's a real stretch to say it's all fixed. The winning team has to make the plays. Receivers have to make catches, and quarterbacks have to make good throws. You can't fake being a good athlete.

NFL is a buisness, each game will not be left to chance. No one wants to see the Browns play in the Super Bowl. You can already tell which teams won't survive this year. Would they really let the Chargers go all the way? Definitely no. What about the Patriots, with all the Aaron Hernandez murder drama? Count them out. They might beat Indy, but don't expect them to be allowed into the Super Bowl over Denver.
This leaves SF, Sea, NO and Carolina. All 4 of these teams are popular and marketable. 3 young quarterbacks and an old guy. I predict SF tears up Carolina, since it won't be 5 degrees anymore. Sea vs N.O is a toss up, I could see Breez putting on a show. Neither would surprise me but either will go on to lose to SF. That means Denver vs SF Super Bowl. T.V ratings through the roof. If I'm wrong, you guys can chew me out but until then, watch how the NFL runs their business. All it takes to fix a game is one play. Meaning 99.9% of the action can be real competition. Just keep the game close and entertaining.
