This could be quasi meaningful some day. We are discovering that animals and possibly humans have a sensitivity to electromagnetism that is not currently understood.

Good to know. I actually looked for more info. I guess being at work and in a hurry doesn't pay off.

The doves around my house do the same thing. Of course, they only sit still early inthe morning, and they may be getting the broad side of their body in the sun. I don't know motivation, only observation.

I wonder what benefit they receive by doing this behaviour.
There must be a reason the species developed this in the long run, or a residual past benefit of some kind...maybe a predator would be less likely to smell them?
