Recent update from Britton, the bar owner -

.................

Britton said in a telephone interview Tuesday that he brewed up a new batch of "The F Word" last Friday. By then, the dispute was already drawing attention on social media, and the beer sold out in three hours.

He's contemplating making more, based on the calls, emails and Facebook messages of support he said he's received from around the world.

"It's been unbelievable," Britton said. "People are just saying, 'Hey, read the story, good job.' I'm getting emails and Facebook messages from Germany, China, England. People are just clamoring for it."

Dude just got famous, and it's Starbucks' "F-wording" fault! Had they ignored it, Exit 6 would still be blissfully chugging along, rather than frantically trying to keep up with orders that will make them money hand over fist due to the "free" publicity that Starbucks paid for!

Poetic justice. Gotta love it when a plan comes together!

I think he ought to brew massive batches of the beer, brand it as "F-Word Beer" (copyright the term - I think that's possible since it includes the product descriptor of "Beer", rather than just "F-word", which even little kids use these days), and make bank. This time next year, he could be laughing all the way to his yacht....

F-word beer cheers!

I also love poetic justice - served cold with a foamy head - somewhat like a crappacino, but better for the soul.

Really hope this story gains traction so people begin to see the true bullies these mega chains/corporations are.

Things
caffeine is a drug.. be it a lite stimulant. its still psychoactive. also this substance is addictive. and u can overdose from coffee. and not even in large amounts.

40 Seagulls die from caffeine overdose in Canada this year from eating used coffee grinds.

17 year old Jasmine Willis, a Durham, UK waitress overdosed by drinking 7 double espressos in 2007. She was taken to the hospital, but recovered soon after. (that’s roughly 1.078 grams)

a 23 British man from Mansfield, England died after taking to 2 spoonfuls of pure caffeine powder washed down by an energy drink at a party. His death was ruled accidental.

Fourteen-year-old Anais Fournier, died after she consumed two 24 ounce Monsters (480mg of caffeine) in a 24 hour period. Cause of death was a heart arrhythmia due to caffeine toxicity. There seems to be some conflicting stories as to how much she really consumed and this seems true since 480mg in a 24 hour period isn’t a toxic amount.

I know people drink coffee for its caffeine properties. just like energy drinks.

DONT BE FOOLED. ITS SIMPLE LOGIC... Starbucks are basically drug dealers... once broken down to a most simple form of logic. and that's why they GROW GROW GROW like a cancer around all our lovely city's.

its just the druggies going back for there fix lol... i swear to go the same mathematical formulas going on in my head right now are saying. weather it be a heroin dealer, a tobacconist or Starbucks.

they opened that business knowing people would be hooked and keep going back.."everyone needs coffee right lol"

OK now i am ranting a raving on hahaha.. gonna go smoke a bowl. might as well have a bomb of whizz as well. prolly more healthy than the caffeine.

ohh yeh caffeine deaths and overdose rank over many other "illegal abused drugs" trust me.. its up there on the A&E list.

ok now im really going lol...

good night and god bless.

Meh.

I drink coffee for the heat. The caffeine kick is just an added bonus.

I drink anywhere from 2 to 3 POTS (not cups, POTS) of coffee a day.

It hasn't affected me *twitch*

It hasn't affected me *twitch*

It hasn't affected me *twitch*

It hasn't affected me *twitch* yet.

Seriously - caffeine doesn't bother me at all. I can drink a whole pot, then curl up around the empty and go to sleep.

Starbucks is awful their coffee tastes like chemicals. I don't see how they got so popular unless it's the unique setting but then again coffee houses have been around a long time so even that confused me. I never go to Starbucks. Their coffee is the pits.

And I love coffee. Right now I am enjoying a cup of folgers black silk. Dark and rich but not bitter.

Wow. Idiots. But Orange mocha frappicino sounds delish. Orange and chocolate are classic. Add coffee and how can you go wrong? I will make my own version not Starbucks version.

Yes I much prefer brewing my own with a decent machine at home or Costa. Starbucks coffee really is awful, I don't see how they can call it coffee.

Speaking of starbuck's a woman did a study and chose not to eat or drink anywhere but Starbucks seems her month cost to feed herself along with coffee cost over $7000 a year.

Seems because Starbucks made such a stink about it they should just add an "L" and call it "Flapacino"

Coolness. Good on Exit 6. Personally, I don't drink coffee (I know I know, I'm weird), but I certainly can't stand Starbucks. When I originally watched the second Austin Powers movie and they made fun of Starbucks, I always kind of assumed that that was how they actually got their start.

Success breeds contempt...

Starbucks’ strange vernacular finally drove a customer nuts.
Lynne Rosenthal, a college English professor from Manhattan, said three cops forcibly ejected her from an Upper West Side Starbucks yesterday morning after she got into a dispute with a counterperson — make that barista — for refusing to place her order by the coffee chain’s rules.

I had no idea the word frappuccino was owned by Starbucks. Their coffees are weak and over priced so I go to a local chain for mine. I bet F-word beer could be a big hit if they could get a similar product (frosty beer I imagine).

Over priced? I'm with you in full, 100% agreement.

Weak? Er.... Not sure what kind of coffees you're buying, but "weak" does not match my memory of starbucks coffee. Now, to be fair, I've only had their coffee a couple times, and it's been a number of years. And who knows... if I ordered the same way I do when I go to Dunkin Donuts (which I've frequented far more often, due to their more reasonable prices and greater presence in my area) then I guess it's not surprising it would be strong. I tend to get a large regular coffee with one, sometimes two shots of espresso.

Those who are sensitive to caffeine should not even think too hard about this beverage, lest you become jittery.

Anyway, that being said-- I think this letter was hilarious. Thanks for sharing, OP.

Sign me up!!! I don't even drink beer but I'd buy a case of "F Word Beer" from these guys just to show them how much I approve lol. And yeah I agree Starbucks coffee tastes like tar or something else nasty. There's an awesome place up by Pismo in Cali called Black Horse that has awesome caffeinated goodness
