The older I get, the more I realize that marriage is clearly legalized prostitution. Not that there is anything wrong with legalized prostitution. It's just that most married people will never admit it … until they get divorced maybe.

I feel sorry for you. Your obviously in the wrong relationship. Your growing bitter to the point you do not believe a relationship with the right person can bring true happiness.

The cynicism is the only truth in this statement. In reality...no.

I made a commitment to my wife that she would be my only mate, and she did the same to me. Over the last 2 decades, it has changed. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being "sex", and started being....something more. Those readers who have such a relationship will know what I mean. Those that don't...i believe I am incapable of really describing it. And if i tried, would likely embarass myself and my wife.

Beyond that, there is a whole lot more. Sex is only part of it. She is my catalyst and my potentiator. I hope you can experience it one day....it really is pretty wonderful.

Prostitution should be legal and prostitutes should have health cards just like they have them in Germany. If a woman wants to do that with her body or a man then they should be able to. We here in America are too conservative on this issue. What is the difference between Porn and Prostitution? Your paying a woman to have sex and film it. Why is it any different behind a closed door without a camera? Sex isn't dirty, it's a human need. Period.

Thumbs up for the Canadians!! At least one of their courts is in touch with reality and the purpose of law.

Such courts are no longer fashionable in the lower 48.

Gotta love how people ignore the topic and immediately try to sidestep the 800 lb. gorilla in the room with, "I feel sorry for you . . . Your growing bitter . . .", etc. Haha, no one feels sorry for anyone, and people reply with this nonsense when they cannot respond to the post made. Classic American denial, but it's all good.

Americans' often find it, "OK," or even humorous when a female strikes a male. If the reverse occurred, it would be stopped. American men have no one to blame but themselves for allowing this behavior to become acceptable in the good ole' US of A. In particular, the American entitled white bitch enjoys this, "freedom," in the land of, "If momma ain't happy, no one's happy." Of course mamma doesn't want prostitution legalized because the new bumper sticker would change to: "If momma ain't happy, get rid of momma."

A very interesting yet terribly quiet revolution is occurring in the USA--the American male has voted with his feet and the marriage rate continues to decline. Oh sure, there are plenty of suckers that will still take the bait … we all know that. Sigh. However, with married people now in the minority in America, the looming prospect of legalized prostitution spreading from state of Nevada & (soon to be) Canada is quite real.

For those holdouts who somehow think that female entitlement is not a problem in the USA, I submit the following:

That's awesome dude, but this isn't about you, or me, or any one person. My post was a general statement that marriage is essentially legalized prostitution. In other words, one need not go to the court house next to the dept. of motor vehicles, sign a contract with the state of _________, and hand over their VISA card & keys to their house to a female. If that worked for you, hey, that's fantastic, (seriously). The dynamics of your particular relationship may have superseded the just mentioned, but the just mentioned has absolutely nothing to do with love, and everything to do with money, property, & ownership, i.e., legalized prostitution.

Disclaimer (sigh): The statement that marriage is essentially legalized prostitution is a general statement that is generally true. There are always exceptions to every rule, but the exceptions prove the rule. For example, did you hear about the guy who jumped out of a 10 story building and lived? But who wants to jump out of a 10 story building? When you see a 20 something smoking hot blonde driving a 100k mercedes do you think to yourself, "Wow, she must have a really great job." Of course not! Are there smoking hot 20 something year old blondes that just bought a 100k Mercedes from their great job? Of course, but in general, there's a man somewhere paying for all that. Marriage has zero benefit for a man, and if things don't work out, the female is (often) gonna take at least half the man's stuff. Criminal, family, and child support courts all favor the female. Men know this, and many, (not all), end up as, "hostages," in their own home as a result of this reality. Are there women who make more than the man? Of course, but in general, the man makes more than the woman, and in general women seek men who have a higher income. One can go on & on & on ad nauseam with disclaimers and clarifications, but marriage, (not necessarily yours, or his, or hers, etc.), for most in the USA is essentially, whether or not the male even intended it to be, legalized prostitution. Not that there is anything at all wrong with legalized prostitution. My post concluded that I find it interesting that many married people will not admit that it is indeed (most of the time) legalized prostitution as constructed by the society we live in, not necessarily anyone's fault per se. However, if a finger is to be pointed at this train wreck, the finger should be pointed at weak-spined men who are too scared of women and the ever present, "White Knights."

Men pay for sexual gratification one way or another, buying homes, cars, holidays abroad, clothing, food, medical bills, all paid for to make sure there is a lady within arms reach who can sometimes be persuaded to take part in the greatest act two humans of the opposite genders can do together.

Prostitution seems like a sweat deal compared to marriage, however, if a man wanted to pay up front for all the services offered by a "traditional" wife, the costs would escalate.

In addition to sex, you would have to pay for scheduled services including house cleaning, laundry, cook, and secretary in addition to other paid services. This adds up quickly and if one were to compare the monthly cost of a marriage to a "pay as you go" service, marriage may end up being the bargain deal.

I do not get your taxation comment based on consumption... that makes it sound like the government owns the prostitute and is her pimp.

what if you called an ad because you were horny, and then the woman who showed up was your sister or mother or your own daughter or even grandmother? Would you still get them to complete the job?
