Thanks everybody for your input! I will be sure to add some more as we go. I also plan on posting some pictures of the storms I chased this summer. It was truly an exciting summer for the couple of us that make a point to chase down crappy weather!

Not to impressed or inspired by the subjects (I like the first one more then the second, though the first did remind me a bit of bane) but you certainly have great skills and talent and technique, would love to see more of your stuff.

Forget the haters VoidWalker,

Your stuff is great to look at. Its got elements and influences, just like anyone elses work, but what I like about these is the way you have used subtle shading to give the basic structure more depth. I like both the examples in your OP, specially the surrealist looking thing.

Great job.

HAHAHA thanks friend as soon as you said Bane I kind of had to burst out laughing. My son thought I drew Bane as well. I had to look up who Bane was and found out quickly that it was a villain in a mask.

Yea, your technique and ability is tremendous, the shading and detail and geometries and patterns in the first image are awesome. Just like I said, imo I feel all that skill and potential is in a sense wasted on the 'inconsequential' subject matter, which of course is just my opinion. It certainly is cool and intriguing, could be a video game or comic book character, or just whatever you intended it to be/whatever someone may interpret it as. Is there any specific reason why you created what you did, or you didnt give it much thought and that just came to mind? The reason art in general is great is because it showcases the potential of the human mind, it turns the subtle workings of the imagination inside out, and projects itself onto the material of the outside world. And so in my opinion with your skills and ability I would love to see more expressive and deep and imaginative and suggestive and telling pieces of creation; I would liken your creations as if Leonardo Di Vinci only drew stick figures, or if Mozart only composed for the congo drum. You are one of a minority of humans who seem to have a natural talent with drawing, I think you are capable of doing more to blow and dazzle the minds of us who do not have those natural skills. An artist has the ability to create that which would never be possible of existing unless that artist were to create it (unless they are trying to exactly replicate a scene or setting). I mean no negativity at all because my opinion can very easily be ignored or chuckled at, and the bulk of my message is one of being impressed with your skills. So I do very much so look forward to seeing what you are able to create if you are willing to share that in the future.

I am speechless. Thank you... I honestly started drawing and never really drew science fiction stuff. I know this sounds weird but sometimes when I start drawing I zone off like a different human has taken over me. I don't know how else to describe it. I don't know where a lot of my creations come from or are inspired from.

Done on a tablet? very impressive! I have always been envious of those who can paint or draw. Im artistic but only with the use of a computer to design or edit. I cant draw or paint AT ALL but always loved my cousins drawings. He is very talented and used to draw comic book and movie characters. I don't think it makes you less of an artist because you are inspired by someone else. I agree the 1st looks very much like Scorpion/Sub Zero/Reptile/Smoke/Ermac characters from the Mortal Kombat franchise. Its something you enjoy doing and it keeps you entertained. I for one am certainly not going to jump down your throat with negativity.
