Christ (Jesus) was Hebrew and in the day of His existence, he was what we would call 'Middle eastern' so... he was not white.

Seems simple enough.

Santa Claus is based on St. Nicholas who came from a region that is now in Turkey but was, at the time, mainly Greek. Was he white? Not exactly but... neither am I.

Santa can be portrayed as anyone sees fit but to be accurate, he was likely of European decent.

Christ can be portrayed as anyone sees fit but to be accurate, he was likely of a middle eastern line most seen still today.

Should we freak if either comes out as White? Black? Purple?
Only if we are based on the shallowest of understandings of reality.

You know in all honesty, maybe we just aren't ready for a black Santa.

But Jesus was supposed to be a being created of and by God. It was a miracle birth as the story goes. Given that, it would not matter where he was supposedly from or who his parents were (Mary/Joseph).

With this consideration, he could have been White, Black or Brown his roots are irrelevant.

Based on the part of the world where he was born, it's unlikely that his skin color was white.
Heed that now, poster who keeps repeating the word 'caucasian' like a feedback loop. I swear, I get the sense that some people want to convince themselves that the white skin tone (whether it's descended from the Caucasus Mountains or not) is just some kind of freak mutation.
