Fairly embarrassing for China, their postures shot down within just a few days. Surprised they didn't scramble a few fighters just for show even, total humiliation.

well not exactly, if America informed them that they were going to be flying through the air space then there is no problem, then we get the propaganda spin. its not that hard to work out really.

this however is the real deal.

Russia has been flying over ships, and near borders a lot lately. They're training and getting back to where they were during the Cold War.

In this case though, China just claimed a chunk of Japanese airspace and territory.

and they feel no need to comment internationally on what happened, why? because the B-52's got A hall pass.
They didn't even break a sweat and scramble A jet.

Because they know that they are in the wrong, and broke international law. Japan has been flying civilian flights through the area starting today, without filing flight plans or following the Chinese rules, and I haven't heard a word about them intercepting anything with them either.

Yes they could. You are drawing poor conclusions on this. It's a show no doubt, but it's their show. They aren't being overly aggressive, they are being intentionally annoying.

It's not a no fly zone, there is no in between. They would handle each entrance without announcement on a case by case basis.

Call it what you will, it still interferes with both the Right of Free Passage, and Japanese and Korean airspace. China has no right to claim that area as theirs, as the islands belong to Japan, and the Koreans have had an ADIZ in place for years that the Chinese one crosses through.

What right do they have to "handle" anything in another nation's territory?

Might is right and they are on their mighty way up.

Nothing to see here atm but 10 20 years later, that's another story.

Eh? Those things just prove my point, Britain scrambles its defences if someone approaches its territory, China didn't. Don't know what the second link is supposed to prove, Russian units fly past an American ship off the Russian coast? Just shows China is even more toothless really
