Hey Artists and Art Enthusiasts of ATS:

I had to put a lot of work on the back burner to do this piece, I am still in the learning and sketching stage but figured I have enough to present at least in one piece aspect. Currently I am working on creating a piece for a charity for auction or direct buy to help a 7 year old girl with cancer, I couldn't pass up the ability to create money for this little kid with an ability to somewhat draw and all that, I WILL NOT GO TO WHO WHAT WHY and WHERE as this is not about promoting the charity but more-so about the art I can on U2U I think but I am not going to promote one way or another on ATS forum, however this is the inspiration behind not only the piece but also my motivation:

First couple 8x11in sketches

Ran into problems here with the center flower

So I started a study to better understand the structure of a rose

Inspiration for the statue piece comes from a place near my sisters house in Bonaventure cematary in Georgia, thanks for coming in to check out my progress of newer work!

Tried to edit to get the images without links but I couldnt figure it out sorry about that

Beautiful work!
I can't draw very well, unless you count drawing stick people to a perfection...

(Ok, I actually prefer drawing landscapes.)

I just wanted to say kudos to you, and I think what you are doing is very noble and kind.

About stick figures, I use them all the time for sequence work also I used to play alot of flash games on that old stickdeath.com site that had stick figure flash games to play =D

This looks good. Way better than anything I can do. I may have over looked it but how long did you say you have been drawing?

I cant remember how long Ive been drawing but I would bet if you asked my mom she would prolly start complaining about magic markers to walls and floors, I been always using something to make pictures with as long as I know and I appreciate you coming by to look.

These are still either sketches or sub sketch studies none of these are actually contributing layer pics to a finished piece here I am just showing a learning process of what I am doing to make a complete whole this whole deal here is just a learning experience so far

Hello friend. I just took a look at all your pictures. I liked them.

I enjoyed looking at the rose you drew and then painted. Good job man.

I haven't drawn in so long. Oh well, maybe one day I shall start painting again.

Thanks for sharing more of your works. I did like the sketch of the girl too. Nice work *thumbs up*

Peace -nat

holy toledo brotherman, you're like a furry da vinci.
i was just telling my daughter that i should go learn some of the classical art painting techniques and of course, they always start off with an excellent pencil. i can't pencil draw for the life of me. i have some nerve damage that effects fine motor control, so i need digital for all the erasing i have to do.
your work is wonderful . are you going to paint it?

oh that's ink???

It is mixed media, I actually posted you a more updated pic of this 18x24in sketch in your art thread, I am so close to finishing the sketch I decided not to update here until I finish the sketch then show it all. I may have another 12-14 hours laying this out. When I finish this sketch, I am going to start all over again and paint it, I been trying to create a vehicle that will hold steel shavings off of my shop floor and make a paint that will litereally rust, I think using something like that would seriously add to this piece but alas I havent figured out how to make paint rust so I am going to probably stay either oils or pencil and ink wash. I have another thread with a more expanded view of some of my work, I will warn you though that some think some of my work is very dark.

More of my "stuff"

Is it my imagination or is there supposed to be a face in the moon 'mirroring' the girl's face (except the face in the moon is smiling/happy)?
