Just think if it was Joe Bidens home town Wilmington, Delaware.

They had cameras that covered everything in the city even before 9/11. The first US city to have Complete Information Awareness at least at the standard of that time.Almost half a million paid by anonymous donor. This is the same town building google barges. There is a history of companies like By and Large LLC front companies doing things there.

It's stupid, any security camera can be made into a "recording" security camera. Just hook it up to a computer and put one of the millions of software available. Hell, most cameras come with their own software to use. When I go on vacation, and no one else is here at the house, I use 4 40 dollar webcams as security cameras. Anytime something moves in front of them they start recording until movement stops for more than a minute. So for like 200 more dollars, you got a recording system. Makes no sense that was not done, it's not like it is super expensive.

OK, I don't believe for a second that the school had no recording equipment. Either it was disabled or we are simply being lied to. This is one of the many aspects of this case worthy of investigation. Should be simple enough to produce evidence that this system was installed without recording equipment, right?

However, claiming there was no recording serves two purposes. The first is rather obvious. No recording, no Lanza. Authorities can say whatever they want about the case with little cause for backup.

There's a second benefit to the establishment of claiming no recordings. The outrage will get people clamoring for more recordings. We need to go ahead and record every step everybody makes, right? That way next time we'll have evidence. You guys asked for it...

Considering that the new security plan and entrance procedure was a big to-do with the principal sending a letter alerting parents to the new security measures that would be implemented for the 2012-13 school year; I believe it was even covered by the Newtown Bee (yes, the same Newtown Bee that fabricates stories and makes up quotes from the dead)...

Considering the fact that 1/4 of L&O SVU episodes involve detectives reviewing surveillance footage at educational institutions...

Considering the fact that every educational publication which provides best practices in security highly recommends the use of surveillance cameras and suggests a time-frame to keep archived footage that the camera records...

When you consider all that, it makes no sense that a school would have a weather station that records and archives information but a surveillance camera system that does not.

There is conflicting reports of this. There is much that points to the system being upgraded to a state of the art system before the "incident". The report claims that the system that was installed did not capture video recording. I don't think that is true at all but again, it's not about what you know, it's about what you can prove. People are working on it.

A clever post and one I found funny! That said, a better one would be to show exactly what model of system was installed, at what cost and include specifications from the provider on the capabilities.

You see, what we claim to know, what we believe is not what everyone believes and I think that the way we present our arguments are going to determine if we can get enough support to continue to break this story or are we going to just present endless speculation without anything in the way of solid proof to back it up?

School sleepovers? For entire weekends? ( you know any kids that would willingly spend the whole weekend in school?)

You had 30 kids, some of them were middle schoolers whose parents allow them to come over and stay overnight. He did partake in those.

He never saw or talked to Adam after that . Using the word then would most likely refer to a time, that would refer to an event.

Here he says Adam would rather play violent video games than play DDR:

That is the sole reference I've seen to Adam Lanza being a "typical" 16 year old kid. Every other statement Novia makes about him is "a kid with problems, shy, withdrawn, unhealthy, etc".

I read the text you quoted as all Ryan wanted to do was be a typical 16 year old and not have to deal with the albatross that was Adam.

On Novia, Adam & School:
Wow! Good work AsktheAnimals -- I think you may have just proved that Adam was the student Novia pushed which led to Novia "leaving" that job and Nancy pulling Adam from school.

I Think Novia and Adam was like Best friends and When he had a accident with another kid. Then Adam lost his only friend Novia. So Nancy Got mad at the School and pulled Adam out of the School. Not because Nova did something to adam.

I think the way the interview is transcribed it loses continuity and it's easy to exchange who is being spoken about.
I think it was implied that it was a mistake that Nancy had taken them to the range.
That's how I interpreted it anyway.

It's also not a given that Adam and Novia leaving at the same time was related.
it's just a timely coincidence but without verification means nothing on it's own.
Like the GPS doesn't mean anything but the GPS unit itself went those places. no telling who it might have been riding with.

Ryan Lanza graduated from there in 2006. So it could not have involved him.

From the Wooster Mountain Shooting Range Facebook Page one learns that their website/contact is directed to a Westport, CT-based website called www.train2shoot.com...

Since we seem to agree that the GPS data indicates that Lanza was going to the Wooster Mountain Shooting Range and we have noted that:
Sunday- May 27th,. 2012
Starting-7:37pm Yogananda (Newtown)
Ending - 7:56 pm Wooster Mt. State Park (Danbury)
Starting- 8:05 pm Wooster Mt. State Park (Danbury)
Ending-8:30pm Yi)gananda (Newtown)

My question is simple: What was Lanza doing going to the Shooting Range after hours?
The latest the Wooster Mountain Shooting Range is open at any time during the year is 7pm (and it appears that Sunday hours are 12-3).

Thoughts?

And ... ownership and possession are two different things. He just couldn't 'own' the weapon. To my knowledge there is no law prohibiting Adam from possessing (and training with) the handguns his mother owned. The only restriction he'd run into are local range rules.

ETA: I'm using the term possession loosely ... not in the 'legal' sense.

I didn't catch it on my brief skim of the report but what happened to and who was the guy they detained in the woods by the school?
