In Saturn's Rings is a ground-breaking film for IMAX and Giant Screen Theaters and Fulldome Planetariums created from over one million real photographsand assembled in one man's basement studio. Using a unique photoanimationtechnique, the film will take audiences on a journey through the Solar System and beyond, employing images from dozens of space missions, including Cassini-Huygens, Hubble, Apollo, Voyager 1/2 and many more.

The trailer is amazing just thought I would share.

S&F Nice!! I love looking at space as it always grounds me (no pun intended) in a way not much else can. I can't wait to see the movie!

Beautiful. Will definitely be taking the girlfriend to this one, (and spiking my drink with jack daniels since she will be there).

It's nice to see real spacecraft images (like the ones from Cassini) brought to life like that. It's especially impressive if he worked with the raw images to make that smooth colour footage.

Here are a couple of videos made using just the raw Cassini images:

Watch full-screen and in HD. I like the way it looks loke a vintage movie, due to the cosmic rays, digital noise, and different exposures or filters used for different frames.
