Samsung pays Apple $1 Billion sending 30 trucks full of 5 cent coins

This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.
The funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best.

I received this one from my Fb I followed the link to the above..is this real?? or some kind of hoax,if not the folks at Samsung got jokes..

well are they USD nickels?

that is a hell of a lot more valuable than some digital numbers being sent from bank to bank.

Of course it is a hoax - care to show a valid source for it? Where are the photo's of the trucks....

The story is also 12 months old....

1) Samsung's fine ($1.049bn) isn't yet payable; the judge hasn't ruled. All we have is the jury's verdict.

It's a hoax, besides, you would need more than 30 trucks to send $1b in 5c coins....


A quick Google search would have revealed it was a hoax.

Lesson learnt/note to self if a piece like this did not draw the attention of atleast one ATS member after 10 days according to the date posted on the article then it's probably a hoax..

It happens to all of us.... well at least it does with me. I do tend to forget that not every site is "professional" when it comes to news reporting. It's no harm, no foul.
