Yeah, the burning isn't as terrible as what I thought it would be. I saw people using rubbing alcohol on their hands and on wounds etc... It was a
culture shock because I'm used to hydrogen peroxide for infection prevention. But when I tried alcohol just for the fun of it, it didn't burn as
much as I remember it as a kid. I thought it would be the daddy of all pain but it's maybe a 1/10 as far as pain goes, even on the open wound that I
had. It's a bad idea to use that but I thought why not try it just for kicks? (There goes my maso side... lol)
Anyhow, another thing that can be done to clean teeth is baking soda, water and strawberry. The strawberry is because baking soda and water tastes
really bad but if you use strawberry it's not that bad at all. It helps significantly. I did it for 2-weeks, worked like a charm. I stopped doing it
because I got teeth whitening mouthwash which made it even whiter.
And for those saying not to shampoo, that's a terrible thing to do. First, your hair looks awfully greasy and if you naturally have greasy hair, your
face will be a pimple battlefield. Pimples are a sign of bad hygiene as well so it'll be harder to find mates with a battlefield face. Washing your
hair also gets rid of pollutants from the air. If you live in the city for example you shouldn't go a day without washing your hair with both shampoo
and conditioner because the pollutants (whatever it may be that you came in contact with) will get absorbed into your scalp and eventually cause
health problems including graying of hair and baldness. In fact, those that live in a city are found to have more mercury in their system than they
should. I don't have the exact article that I read from but you can learn more about pollutants on this website:
www.epa.gov...
There are a lot of scientific journals about whether or not it's good to wash your hair with shampoo and it turns out that it's much healthier to
shampoo and conditioner however these claims are made on certain types of shampoo and conditioners. I don't have the link on top of my head but I
think it had to do on whether it had sulfate or not? Another important thing to do is to switch from the time to time how you wash your hair. I think
once a week you should wash with conditioner first. Forgot the exact reasons, had to do with dry hair vs greasy etc etc..
I really wish I could find these articles. Either way, just because there are chemicals in something, it doesn't automatically mean it's a bad
thing. But sometimes even if it is slightly bad, it can be better than the alternative such as keeping pollutants in your hair. The "feel good"
feeling is placebo just like after getting an enema. You don't really feel like you have less toxins because toxins is a made up word because they
simply don't exist. This is the health & wellness section which is why I'm saying this, the new age fad is hurting / killing people. Be very
cautious.
