Confirmed: Obama Aides Debated the “You Can Keep Your Insurance” Line Before Deciding to Lie to American Public

www.thegatewaypundit.com... lic/

National Review reported:

President Obama’s aides debated his now infamous “if you like your insurance plan you can keep it” line, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. Advisers discussed whether it was a promise that could be kept and even considered having the president add some nuance in media interviews. But they decided that the president should be sweeping and emphatic, or, as one former official put it, talk “in broad, intelligible points that cut through.” But aides were divided:

One former senior administration official said that as the law was being crafted by the White House and lawmakers, some White House policy advisers objected to the breadth of Mr. Obama’s “keep your plan” promise. They were overruled by political aides, the former official said. The White House said it was unaware of the objections.

Here is where I should say something profound, in 2010 Obama officials knew.

umm, Obama was unaware.

...or to put it another way, they decided to insure he said what sounded good and what we wanted to hear. Nothing like a pesky thing like accuracy and truth. Nawww... That's silly, huh?

The more that comes out about the inside baseball to recent events? The more reasons we have to detest this regime and become MORE determined to insure they hear it in 2014 and 2016. No couch potatoes. None. Everyone show up to at least play the game before saying it can't be won.

We owe these guys no less for all they've done for (to) us.

When will people learn?? Obama is a politician. All politicians are liars. Therefore, Obama is a liar.

Easy peasy. Don't believe anything a politician or government spokesperson tells you....and whatever they make a point of being emphatic about, believe the opposite.

What I enjoyed (sarc) was the reasons he (Obama) gave for people NOT being able to keep their insurance.

Because it was bad insurance.

He stated that the reason so many couldn't keep their insurance was because it wasn't good enough.

So now we have government TELLING us what is good and what isn't.
We have government dictating what we should (or should not) have.

He lied, so what? He's paid to lie. Where did people get the profound idea that a President is to never lie? Surely not that idiotic lie about George Washington?

The man is paid to lie, that's his job. Why do folks insist on trying to find the liar's smoking gun, as if one day he'll hold his hands up and say "oops, busted, I have to resign."

Just assume everything out of his mouth is a lie and you'll be fine.

Seems to be one of the administration's favorite lines. [atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/files/img/uf52140568.gif[/atsimg]

Either they're maintaining plausible deny-ability or they're outright lying about what the president knew and when.

Although there is the possibility that the president is a complete idiot and has no clue of what's going on around him.

He is paid to lie?

Maybe he is.

That's not the way it should be.

He would have to be an idiot not to know what even the Americans are aware of.

I never like his health insurance "plan" in the first place. Making it optional as Hillary wanted was a much better choice. When you follow the money...who exactly put him into office? The health insurance industry perhaps? He has been "fighting" from day 1 for this health care issue...he seems to forget about the economy and jobs which are non-existent.
