I was sitting around thinking of things I used to make, but haven't for a long time and I remembered this recipe I used to make over 20 years ago.
1 pound of ground beef. I prefer 80/20. Need some fat for these burgers to work.
Taco seasoning
1 Cup of crushed corn chips (I like to use Fritos, but use what you like)
Mix the above all together. If you find it to be too dry, add a tablespoon or two of salsa or taco sauce.
Cook the burger to your preferred method. Fry, broil, grill etc....
When burgers are done, *Believe it or not this is the part that makes em good* slice some cream cheese and put it on top of each burger. Then put
them in your oven under the broiler until the cream cheese starts to bubble. Only takes a minute or two...
Walla, top em with shredded lettuce and some salsa or whatever you enjoy having on your tacos!
