It was you (and others) who were making a connection to GM crops. A connection which is irrelevant. Since the bees in Italy stopped dying while GM maize was still being grown, apparently the GM maize was not the problem.

Italy was growing GM maize until this year.

No MON810 in Italy grown ever, except for two known incidents of illegal cultivation, plus one field trial for two different Bt maize varieties in 2005. But as you've noted, the use of neonicotinoids is not related to GM crops in the EU.

Get rid of GMO and plant heritage real food and the bees come back.

To all the ones supporting GMO, may you eat away, as long as the seeds don't contamanite our food or it gets forced down people's throats in the supermarkets, because the majority are poor slaves and can't afford farms, and this world is their oyster, it belongs to the people. Otherwise I suggest people start co=ops and only start to shop from each other.
