Does Army consider Christians, Tea Party, a terror threat?

This has been talked about for some time and now it's mentioned again.

Who can explain why this is part of the military ?

Is there a conspiracy here ?

Apparently there's been several 'isolated' training incidents this year.

Soldiers attending a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood say they were told that evangelical Christians and members of the Tea Party were a threat to the nation and that any soldier donating to those groups would be subjected to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

A soldier who attended the Oct. 17th briefing told me the counter-intelligence agent in charge of the meeting spent nearly a half hour discussing how evangelical Christians and groups like the American Family Association were “tearing the country apart.”

Michael Berry, an attorney with the Liberty Institute, is advising the soldier and has launched an investigation into the incident.

The Secretary of the Army has ordered military leaders to halt all briefings on extremist organizations that labeled Evangelical Christian groups as domestic hate groups. The shutdown comes just four days after I reported exclusively about a briefing at Mississippi’s Camp Shelby that labeled the American Family Association as a domestic hate group.

I would have to see a video of them saying it before I would believe it. It's FOX's usual reporting no names of the people who is supposed to be leaking the info except for a Barry. And who is doing the legal work? The Liberty group a vicious anti gay religious right organization. Then the article goes into the usual Obama is making the military anti Christian BS.

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, tells me the Pentagon is pushing anti-Christian propaganda.

“On the very base that was the site of mass murder carried out by a radicalized Muslim soldier, it is astonishing that it is evangelical groups that are being identified as a ‘threat,’” he said. “Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel must immediately intervene to stop this march against the rights and freedom of our soldiers.”

The soldier said they were also told that the pro-life movement is another example of “radicalization.”

“They said that evangelical Christians protesting abortions are the mobilization stage and that leads to the bombing of abortion clinics,” he said, recalling the discussion.

An Army spokesman at the Pentagon tells me they do not maintain or publish a list of organizations considered extremist.

Hmm... Seems to me like there's a lot of fear to be generated for "radical" religious groups...

But this is not the first time an Army briefing has labeled evangelicals as extremists. Last April an Army Reserve briefing classified Evangelical Christianity and Catholicism as “religious extremism.”

In a letter to Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.), Secretary of the Army John McHugh said the briefing in April was an isolated incident and the material used was not sanctioned by the Army.
McHugh said it was a [bold]“misguided attempt to explain that extremism is not limited to a single religion.”[/bold]

“Why is the Army engaged in these anti-Christian training propaganda briefings?” asked Perkins, himself a veteran of the Marine Corps. “The only explanation is that this is a deliberate effort of the Obama administration to intimidate and separate soldiers from Christian groups that they support and that support them.”

I don't know how he came to that conclusion.

Funny how he didn't provide a link to "the memorandum". FOX is stupid paying this guy for the same article twice.

Exactly what is it that would even classify an Evangical Christian a terrorist? Forgive my ignorance - but my nuclear family were not Christian, and though my grandparents were, they were very critical of the establishment of the church, saying it was "falling by the way side and succumbing to greed".

So I don't really feel I'm educated in the church. I read the bible and study Christ's teachings, but I've never been active in any Christian community. What is it about evangelized Christian's that upset the government?

I just want to point out a bit of inconsistencies so people can stop jumping to conclusions...

1. Todd Starnes says the soldier does not want to be identified for fear of reprisal.
^ This alone raises doubt as to the integrity of his claim.

2. McHugh's memorandum says that MEDIA ACCOUNTS have been highlighting instances of the Army supplementing these "programs."

3. Perkins's conclusion that what is happening is of Obama's accord.

There was an article last August....

A Department of Defense teaching guide meant to fight extremism advises students that rather than “dressing in sheets” modern-day radicals “will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place,” and describes 18th-century American patriots seeking freedom from the British as belonging to “extremist ideologies.”

The guide comes from documents obtained by Judicial Watch and is authored by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, a DoD-funded diversity training center.

Under a section titled “extremist ideologies,” the document states, “In U.S. history, there are many examples of extremist ideologies and movements. The colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule and the Confederate states who sought to secede from the Northern states are just two examples.”

Yup, the memo doesn't mention Tea Party or Evangelical Christians. Just says certain groups were identified as extremist in nature. It also states that in two high profile cases, Army instructors found information from a special interest group and supplemented that information as part of the course.

It's hard to determine the credibility of either...

I find this to fairly implausible. In fact, my experience in the army was the exact opposite in that I was ostracized for NOT attending church. I call BS on this.

I beg to differ.

In 2004, at least, I remember sitting in rows on metal chairs receiving the briefing on terrorism and their speil on the founding fathers were terrorists. I remember, because I did squats for the last half hour before break - trying to speak out if turn and debate that little nugget.

However, the evangelical's and tea party nonsense is a new development, I wasn't aware of. Likely targets of this particular administration. However, our founding father's were terrorist ideology was present in military conditioning, at least in 2004.

They probably consider a lot of groups a threat, and I always question what the puppet masters are trying to encourage, in terms of us against them dialectics when releasing this kind of information. To the real people pulling strings, I don't think they even care about what ideology you believe in, but rather how you're useful to them . They may have just released this in the press to rile people up, sort of like with all the Obama Birth certificate stuff (which was really way too easy to pick apart in photoshop, so much that i think someone was trying to get people to come to a desired conclusion). The real purpose is probably to incite offensive action so they have an excuse to crack down. They know what Christians believe about the end times, so they're going to exploit it. Ultimately, I think the people behind all this just want to start a race or religious war in America. I think in general, some people just want chaos.

A lot of the way public perception is being shaped on the issue of martial law and losing our rights plays too much into blaming Obama, much like the war on terror played too much into blaming Bush. Anything gets people into thinking we need to vote for a Democrat or a Republican to fix the evil ills of the other is just Hagelian dialectic social engineering.

I've tried to explain to people about false dialectics and about how power brokers care less about ideologies and more about using peoples belief systems against them, whether it be Christians, Muslims, unions, liberals, conservatives, tea party, secularists, Occupy or whatever. All these people rap their selves up into an ideological identity and think that the seemingly opposite ideological factions are in league with the devil against them, when, in truth, they're all in the same boat, and their identities are all being used against them to cause division and atomization. The real masters of humanity know how to manipulate psychology, and their real end game isn't communism, socialism, fascism, corporatism, Christian theocracy, Zionist control, or whatever ism you can throw in, but rather gaining the upper hand over everyone else. "ism's" are just mind games they use to cause schisms, and their true allegiance is to nothing but their selves and their hunger for power.

For this reason, I will go by no name and claim no creed. I'm only beholden to reason, compassion, and my creator that makes these things possible. I won't buy into an ideology, won't buy into a false dialectic, and refuse to fall into the victim complex that comes with these things. ...and I will stick up for anyone who is wronged, be they Christian, anarchist, Muslim, Zionist, socialist, feminist, capitalist, fascist, libertarian, Tea Party, Jew, Occupy, black, white, liberal, gay, straight, or conservative or whatever. Ideologies are shallow, make us percieve ourselves as victims, and make us unwhittingly into victimizers. The more I read about these things, the more I realize they're using ideology against us.

For every story about there being a war on Christians or tea party, there's a story about a war on Muslims or a war on labor, or a war on Occupy protesters and its all true. The deception is in these groups thinking one another as enemies and percieving them through the caricatures and stereotypes the media conditions them to percieve them through.

Yes OW protesters were brutally beat down by police for non-violent demonstrations. Yes, tea party protesters were targeted by the IRS. The state targets both of them, but neither group cares about the other enough to speak up and even cheer when the other team gets pummeled by the same forces that come down on them.

Did Christians care when Muslims were being bombed in Iraq by the millitary? No. They even encouraged it.
Now the shoe might be put on the other foot if the millitary is turned inward. Theres not much difference between killing Christians and killing Muslims anyway. Whether this thing about the manual is true or not, the media is trying to illicit a desired response. People need to speak up for each other and realize who the real enemy is and stop having such a tribalistic mindset.

Liberals and conservatives watch different channels, MSNBC and Fox News, these stations create two separate realities for the target audiences, but they're both heavily influenced by the Rockefeller family (who own property that NBC and Fox News studios are loacated in), and they both are CFR controlled (which the Rockefeller family also has its hands in). The Rockefeller and Rothschild families also funded the Bolsheviks, the Nazis, the Chicago School of Economics, the John birch society, and the Democratic and Republican parties. Their only goal is engulfing people in chaos and division so they can build an order in their own likeness out of the flames they incite. People think history is a completely natural process, but its heavily manipulated and fabricated, and its done so by what paradigms masses of people are told to buy into via the media.
