A 76 year old woman is missing presumed dead after being attacked by what witnesses are suggesting was a Great White Shark. The attack happened off a
beach near Cape Town South Africa. The search for the womans body has been called off.

"The shark came out of the water and attacked, came around and attacked again a second time and then a third time," National Sea Rescue Institute
spokesman Craig Lambinon said.
"It was thrashing her body in the water and then swam off with her.
"She had been swimming in the same place every day for 17 years."
Mr Lambinon said a search helicopter later spotted a six-metre shark in the area.

The South African Coast is well known for White Shark Attacks having had 46 attacks between 1960 and 2003 with 7 being fatal. Statistics show that
you are more likely to be attacked by a Great White Shark in Western USA and suffer a fatal attack in Australia.
The elderly woman was killed off a Beach that has had a lot of Great White activity in the last few years but the article says that she had been
swimming in the same place every day for 17 years.
