But why can't a contrail be that long? Or persist? A contrail is a cirrus cloud, and they can hang around a long time, so why can't a contrail?
A contrail is NOT a cirrus cloud!
Now answer my question about the 09/07/2013 - 2:48 pm photo!
A contrail IS a cirrus cloud - just one made by an aircraft, rather than occurring naturally. It's a high level cloud made up of ice particles. You may not think it should be thus classified, but meteorologists beg to differ - and I'm afraid they have the say, not you
btw, we all know that normal contrails can persist and spread out to cover the sky. Why would chemtrails do this?
Over to you
Is a meteorologist the same as a tv weatherman?
...increased presence of aerosol particles in the atmosphere caused by human action. All signs point to a chem-trail campaign being waged by the global warming fanatics.

If Chemtrails were a government funded campaign with nefarious intent wouldn't the money come from black budget sources?
It's funny -- some people are saying that they still see persistent trails (what they call chemtrails) during the shutdown, so that indicates that the alleged "sprayers" are not affected by the shutdown. Other people have say their skies are clear, that means the "sprayers" WERE affected by the shutdown.
I'm not sure which of these conflicting observations/claims to believe (if I should believe either).
Personally where I live, we have had both conditions -- long stretches of blue sky days intermixed with a couple of days here and there with persistent contrails. But I'm not reading anything into that, considering that is what I typically see where I live -- even when the government is not shut down.

Even if it is another plane flying higher, I'm not sure how that is evidence. So, it's a picture of two planes -- one much higher than the other.
Having said that, as I indicted above, the unknown object would need to be MUCH higher (or smaller) than the plane leaving the trail. That's why I thought it could be Venus -- especially considering Venus is bright enough right now to see in blue-sky daylight.

Whoever these beings are, they don't answer to the U.S. Congress.

Indeed not.
They answer to you and mammon: if people are willing to pay to fly, they will fly.
Why did you think the federal shut-down would affect all the world's airlines anyway?

I answered that question several posts ago. You have conditions where clouds can form, and you have a plane leaving cirrus clouds behind it. What's so unusual about that?
As for the reflection that could be just about anything. It could be another plane, it could be something higher up in the atmosphere, like a balloon, or it could be a reflection from sunlight.edit on 10/13/2013 by Zaphod58 because: (no reason given)

Thanks for showing me that. That would explain why the chem-trails have only decreased in severity. Also very importantly the 10/05/2013 5:10 pm eastern chem-trailing aircraft that waynos helped me identify by using Flightradar24, turned out to be this aircraft, Turkish Airlines Airbus A340-311!

It's impossible to say, does the uncompressed image show more detail? It could be a bird, but without a better resolution it could be almost anything.
I don't know what uncompressed image means. I don't think that I cropped the photo before uploading on to the ATS photo library. I have to check my Picasa3 files. It's not a bird! It's higher than the aircraft. I believe it's in hot pursuit of the aircraft.

I love that on here when people make quotes re objects in picture so please tell us all HOW you worked out that object is higher than the aircraft and not lower.

Why?
How big does your brain tell you the object is? What does your brain base that assessment on?
Our brains aren't all that reliable.

Except that it can be right in front of the lense, and appear to be huge. There is no way to tell if it's higher or lower just by looking at it.
As far as identifying the plane, I'm looking at the larger version of the picture, and I can't tell that it's a 767, let alone if it's a 767-300.
The most important part though is that there is no way to tell by eye if it's higher or lower in a picture.edit on 10/13/2013 by Zaphod58 because: (no reason given)
