The bill was passed without anyone reading it. They didn't vote for it because it was a good thing, they voted without knowing which is negligence.

You could offer people a single payer public option. That is what everyone wanted anyway. Some kind of universal health care pan that everyone could use or even just the health care those do nothing alcoholics we have in Congress have. Why should we make sure they have health care before the rest of us regular people? Do they work harder? They work half as much, a quarter as much. And it IS a hundred thousand times more cost effective to take care of little problems before they become big problems. That is the idea behind any preventative health insurance plan. Essentially, guarantee the people affordable health care, and they won't need the Affordable Health Care Act.
Me, I'd like to go back to the days when we had one doctor for almost everything our entire lives and he was $50 a visit. Those were the days.

It's not a matter of just not liking it, it's a matter of it being unconstitutional. It's a matter of people who live pay check to pay check, riding the poverty line, being forced into finding a way to buy into a plan, because they don't qualify for medicaid (and there are plenty of people in that position). It's a matter of jobs, hours, and wages being lost.
The ACA caused me to lose my job and insurance. It's not a matter of just not liking it.

The truth is that Obamacare only have one year to get implemented and able to fill the quota for implementation to be successful.
If the majority of people decide no to get into the program and the quota is not fill by the end of the next year the program will be a failure.
That is the reason why is so important for the program to get as many people as possible now, but what the program wants is the able young and healthy to start paying first, no the needy, poor and with pre existing conditions those will drain the program before it gets off the floor.

I have heard that if they cannot get enough young and healthy people to sign up, that it will fold. I don't know if this is true. A lot of people I have been talking to are going to take the penalty for the next few years, so that alone might cause it to fail.
I still don't see how the people who live pay check to pay check, ride the poverty line, do not qualify for medicaid, are going to be able to buy a plan. Especially when $100 is a matter of eating or medication for some families.

ACA is the law of the land
Yeah, what happened to conservatives always blabbing "we're a nation of laws"? But they refuse to follow laws passed under Obama.
A "death spiral" happens when an insurance company gets more and more older and sicker customers, which raises their costs, which in turn forces them to raise their rates. When they raise the rates, fewer and fewer young and healthy people sign up, and their proportion of older and sicker people gets even worse, and their expenses go up.
Eventually, the health insurance program dies.

This is bully behavior.
ACA is the law of the land - just because you don't like it - doesn't make it wrong.
