Stumbled across this army video of the construction of a nuclear powered secret under-ice facility in Greenland.
It's declassified and the video is in public domain.

I did find it very interesting, this is way back in 1959, imagine what they are doing now.
There is recent discussion about underwater basis on this forum. This could have been the first step.

Actually they had to abandon this concept, as ice is not a solid, and constantly in motion, therefore not suitable for base construction. Over the
course of just a few years some of their ceilings had drooped by 1.5 meters.

I have heard something of this. It would not surprise me if there were more underground bases globally that we don't have an inkling about. Makes
sense really with the Cold War years and now with the world being so unstable it is sadly a matter of when not if a nuke is set off by terrorists or a
regional or global nuclear war.
