What I heard was the sound of a thread being moved to the Collaborative Writing forum, then ending not with a bang, but with a whimper...

Or maybe what I heard was a disturbing sound. I heard it in the streets and it shook me up. I heard the jingle-jangle of a thousand lost souls!
