goes to show never judge a book by the cover not all cops are bad and it is nice to hear a good story for a change

In all honesty, probably every one of us if we weren't afraid of being accused of being predators.


Most of us would still take the risk anyway.

This should be a common practice, rather than a moment...especially with law enforcement.

Sad that this story gets press at all. This kind of thing shouldn't even be news, it should be status quo... Don't get me wrong, good to hear, but this isn't a normal thing? Should be.

I recently drove by a city cop pouring gas into someone's car at a stoplight who had, I assume, run out of gas. I wanted to stop so bad and give that officer some positive reinforcement, but i was on my way to a rehearsal.
I'd say that most cops are decent enough people,
but their hands are being forced just as much as ours, their quotas (of which they deny having, and when asked, their response is just the typical bloated legal jargon)
Today, the primary job of law enforcement is to steal money from the citizens.
FACT.
They are thugs. Whether they want to admit it- even to themselves- or not.

Let me ask y'all this-
when was the last time seeing a police officer, be it in person, or in their official vehicle, brought you a sense of relief, comfort, or ease?

oh and I would've picked her up- I've given rides to people in similar situations quite a few times actually.

youre right, but unfortunately since the scumbag cops out weigh the good cops, we GOTTA post the good stuff, yanno?

One night I was riding home from work, about 20 miles of mostly isolated freeway.
Out of the corner of my right eye, I saw an object. then BAM!!!!!!
It was a softball sized rock tossed by some......tossers.
Direct hit on the driver side. It didn't penetrate the glass, but left a big crater. and sprayed thousands of tiny glass shards right n my face and eyes.
I'm doing 70mph and can't see a thing...so a slowly decelerated..and opened one eye just a slit, so I could pull over.
Dialed 911, and a highway patrol unit was there in 2-3 minutes.
I told him what happened, he told me to hold tight, keep eyes closed, and he went running off to follow the footprints of the jerks that did it. He lost them where the dirt turned to asphalt.

Then he guided me back to his cruiser. and spent time using some kind of tiny brush to clean all the glass from my face. He was listening to Art Bell in his cruiser!..then he gave me a couple of water bottles to rinse my face and eyes as needed.

and then he gave me a Police escort home, lights on..so I could get my vehicle home safely. I followed the lights.
He made sure I got home, and in the door.

It happens.

That is a very heart warming story; some good news for a change!

Several years ago; (I live in Seattle) it was heavily snowing; and the buses were not running their regular schedules; so I was stuck walking home which was a few miles; I was forging ahead and a police officer pulled up and offered me a ride home. He was very much a gentleman; and I got home safely.

Sometimes... the men in blue are just good guys.
