USE THIS THREAD: for bug reports related to the new ATS.5/3 cut-over on 9/9/13

I have even more issues with this site now. I have a new galaxy s4 mini and nothing fits on the page of my browser(chrome), worked fine on my zte blade v. Its like the site thinks my phone is tablet.

Just logged in and as I normally do, went to My ATS but it's empty. Nothing on the right hand side, Favorite Forums on the left had side also empty.

Edit to add: ok, left side, replies=empty. Right hand side empty.

If I select hot, new or flags on the left hand side, the threads reappear under Favorite Forums and subscribed threads reappear.

Not that it's a big concern, just wanted to report it. I have a feeling SO is recoding certain areas.

Again today when I logged on, my subscription list is now located at the bottom left of the screen under my "favorite" forums at the top left. I did have the problem fixed after deleting the Jesse Ventura's Off The Grid forum from my favorites list.
But early this morning, it's back, and now, even worse!
My top 5 new threads in each of my "favorite forum" list is empty. However, they do take up the whole page underneath that top empty half of the page.
Then my subscription threads are under my favorite list of forums again.

I DO HOPE THIS WON'T REMAIN this way too long. If you all are reformatting, could you please tell us, one way or the other, so we'll know if it's something we need to fix on our end?

I have Windows XP, and use Google Chrome on my desktop computer.

Since a few days I've noticed that this site changed its "framing" on the front page. I use a iPad, and I always have to zoom out to get the full width of the page in view.
However...


The top section doesn't fit anymore...?

Edit: and as for the ads.. I'm not THAT fat, ATS!

This new mobile layout that was implemented a week or two ago is pretty horrible compared to the last version.

I use an iPhone and it's barely even usable when my phone is flipped to the side (widescreen). On top of that I'm always having to tweek the zoom every time I open a page.

I still don't understand why when you try to edit just after 2 hours later, you get a message saying you've exceeded your 4 (four) hour limit to edit.

It's been that way for quite some time--why say one has a 4 hour limit of time to edit, when it's really only 2 hours????

Yup same here. The site is pretty unusable on a phone.

I cannot post any topics in Breaking News. I can make a post but and all the sections are there for news source and post body but there is no button to submit or post the post

Not sure if any one is paying attention to this thread, but thought I'd report that the favorite forums button doesn't appear to be working.

When I click the favorite button in a particular forum it doesn't appear in the my favorite forums list within My ATS.

Any thoughts on how to us this function?

Moblie version is unreadable on android. It was ok till a couple of weeks ago. Now the formatting is way off. having to scroll sideways to read the posts, especially the quotes. Have tried various browsers. Currently using firefox and it is still the same. Have messed with text size and page format settings, these do not make it any easier and also then messes up the settings for other websites. Desktop version is far from ideal but much better on my mobile devices.

Its a shame as I thought this whole re-design was to make it better for mobile devices, ATS at the moment is not suitable for mobile devices which must be making a massive impact on visitors.

What I've wanted to see for some time now is an ATS mobile app.

To be honest I haven't seen anything in terms of a message board app before, although I'm sure they exist just like wiki apps do. It could solve the mobile issues, but it would also present various security issues as well.

If you go to my profile, and click on my list of posts, then click on the sixth one down "Nearly Every Mass Shooting In The Last 20 Years... - (post 17890104) , you will see that it takes you to page 2, when actually my post is on the bottom of the previous page. It happens to any of my posts that are at the bottom of a thread page.

I had this same issue. I was told by another member that I needed to go into a specific thread in the forum (not the forum "front page") that I want as a favorite and click on the favorite button while in the thread. That worked for me.

Personally, though, I think that is a bug that needs to be fixed. It seems much more logical and intuitive to be able to click the favorite button front page itself, without needing to go into a thread. Even though there is a work-around, it seems like an unintentional bug that they should fix.

When replying in a point by point mode using quotations from another poster, the system will sometimes only post the first line of a lengthy post. Here is an example the Mods can look at:

The mobile site is broken...has been for ages now. Doesnt fit on a mobile screen. Totally usless on a mobile phone. Is this not going to be fixed? Its the worse mobile site I currently visit. The text is not fitting on the screen. Having to scroll sideways just to read a post. Using firefox for android. All other sites work perfectly on this phone so I shouldn't have any need at all to change settings on my phone.

Still not showing as logged in - happened again yesterday, now again. If common, could result in huge loss of ad revenue. Logged in a while ago, posted this thread 3rd MERS Case in the US: Silent Transmission, No Symptoms, hung around for bit... Wondering - if don't show as logged in, do posts not show either?

User problem, not a system problem, I do this all the time but catch it with the "preview" function. There's a [quote] that should be [/quote]. Once you do that none of the rest of the quotes will display. It's always been this way.
