The truly talented people on Earth do not have time for celebrity or are unrecognized in their pursuits. Most are only appreciated at the end of life or after they die.

A lot of celebrities are famous because they portray an image that the illuminati or other such groups want the general public to associate with as well as providing bread and circuses to distract the public from whats really going on. While some celebrities have talent others do not and although some celebities seem wealthy by comparison with a normal person in the street they are not really that wealthy compared with people like the rothchilds, rockerfellers or the murdocks Eg 15 million dollars is pitance compared to 15 billion dollars being only one thousandth as much. When you spend money like water you can quickly go though a few million dollars very quickly which is why when the large paychecks run out many of them end up going broke. With the exception of a few very famous celebrities for most of them thier fame and fortunes does not last very long. Thier used by date expires very quickly.
I would not worship anybody either talented or talentless because they are famous or they had money or both as they are just human beings like the rest of us. Celebrities have to eat, sleep, go to the bathroom and face challenges in life just like the rest of us. Some celebrities would be shallow while others would not and you cannot really tell by the media reports about them as these are designed to portray a certain image about a particular celebrity and not neccessarily their true character. This I know from personal experience having known a couple of celebrities who where very different from what the public was lead to believe they where. [/quote

Its a big industry and unfortunately doesn't look like it will disappear.

I think 35% of Americans despise celebrity culture. It's growing but we need to get the young ones away from media asap.

Yes, I wish they would check the percentage world wide. Its becoming higher ( hopefully ) which should mean we should have a bit more respect don't you think?...

I mean they should allow for people who do take life abit more serious to not have to be subjected to daily dose of tosh/nonsense.

Ohhhh Gawd! Last night i was at my in-laws while they watched a show of customizing RVs with the lead singer of "POISON." It, like "American Chopper," reeks with nauseating Wall St.commercialism. I mean, think about it... Let's slap a bunch of nit-wit metal fabricators with little or no entertainment value...toss in a big check book and a script... hire a "rock and roll" celebrity in the mix...tag it "Reality TV" ...and hope to attract mindless consumers who have more money than sense to buy "into" the illusion that their life is meaningless unless they eagerly purchase the product with more bells and whistles than the one bought by their neighbors!!!

If we do it right...hell...WE CAN BECOME RICH!!!

Let's change the channel..hmmmm...here... Now we have a family of hillbilly's who are now television stars getting rich of their duck calls and reality show!

Next channel....Ahhhh...Here is Miley Cirus explaining her desire to escalate her stature in the "biz" by "TOPing" Lady Ga-Ga's success and gaining more of the global audience with disgusting talents!!!

One more try before i barf....Ohhhh....wouldn't know it...here is...the next episode of the "HOLOCAUST" sponsored by our friends in Tel-Aviv!!!

Now i'm to depressed to remember why i chose to rant on this thread...

I think it all depends on what makes that person a celeberty. For instance if your a celeberty that flashes your (****) because you too drunk to realize it and you gain fame for that(im looking at you paris)

or if your some kid that just happened to have famous parents that got you connected into the biz(Im looking at u kim,and miley)

or the ones that sign a direct deal with the devil to gain fame and money(im looking at u shakira, gaga, JayZ, beyonce)

then i completely agree with your rant.

On the other hand I think there are genuinely funny and talented people out there that were born to entertain and realized it. and went for it, and now there famous. and these are he ones that you dont see all over the tabloids. So dont hate all because of a few bad seeds.

Your right, there are those who got the skills.

Singing, writing, acting, there are people out there who deserve some recognition.

Only problem is in order to get media wide recognition, they gotta make that deal with Lucifer.

Some of them are talented, but unfortunately are individuals who love mass attention also, a weak, simple minded personality trait of my opinion. As much as they are skilled, they want fame and mountains of cash. They are willing to compromise their morals, faith, convictions, and family in exchange for fame and money.

Weak, stupid people, they are.

Folk are very stupid. They remind me of dogs sometimes, that kind of thing. Where they always worship their owner even if they kick them .

And they don't realise this is exactly what is happening with the media.

Sometimes these people are quite educated who support this kind of strange media.

No, I am not interested in what Jennifer lopez ate for breakfast yet that makes me limited in view by you apparently .

Does it now?

What gives you that impression?

I'm not jealous sorry to disappoint you.

Not disappointing one bit, why should I be?

Your posting sure looks like a jealous rant that first says they are all, all of the celebrities lack talent then not all of them are that bad, yet I asked what makes what your complaining about a fake world of celebrities?

Is it because they have plastic surgery like you point out that makes them fake?

I don't get how your title is shown to be relevant to your thread when all your doing is complaining that they get everything, they are ugly need surgery to stay beautiful, lack talent, etc.

I am speaking about the " celebrity culture " and the peddlers and as well the consumers.

Well speak about them and show how its a fake world.

I read a whole lot of complaining with very little logic concerning what your thread is supposed to be about.

If its reality TV which seems to be the main cause of your disgust as is most peoples then most would agree they are puppets that will change their costumes and sing to a different tune for what ever is controlling the ratings and their exposure.

You said all celebrities yet talk about TV. I understand reality TV and the stars born from there can get on ones nerves because there seems like very little realism in these people because they want to be the next Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie and like I said change so often or do such radical things to be noticed.

What about athletes, What about religious figures, these are all celebrities.

I hope you see my point, I understand yours if its reality TV and less popular stars that are desperate for stardom but not all celebrities.

I understand there are a few celebrities that are quite good. I wont deny that.

What gets me is these lyrics nowadays in youth music. Are kids/youth even adults really digging this and why.

Here's some lyrics as an example of popular music

" I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me ROAR
Louder, louder than a lion"

I feel like am I missing something , is this supposed to be art?

I happened to watch a clip of " The Kardashians " the other day and I am not getting why or how it can be classed as entertainment.

Or for example Niki minji the youth are saying this person who has lots of plastic surgery is showing them how to love their true selves.

It all sounds rather suspect , kinda brainwash.
Am I too old school?

I completely agree. Well, I don't "hate" celebrities; I "nothing" them. I don't understand the fascination with "stars". I can appreciate someone's acting or music-writing skills, and sometimes I'll read up on something related to that. For example, I'm interested in hearing about what inspires Steve Roach to make his soundscapes because I respect him as a musician. But I don't get how I'm supposed to care about his love life or what brand of clothing he wears.

I REALLY don't get why people care what music celebrities look like. I listen to music with my ears, not my eyes. Wearing a skimpy dress isn't gonna make your auto-tuned voice sound any better.

That's true. It shouldn't be about how they look. But they realised that folk like to idolize their musical hero's thus the image becomes of paramount importance.

I still cannot work out how they sell this. It seems very contrived and in some ways taking advantage of peoples visual desires. For example, many of the concerts these days have all these flashing lights, images, and so forth. I don't get what's exciting about it. I want to go to a concert to watch and hear the singer in action, live. But the background etc is more of a distraction if anything.

For some reason this appeals to folk. Its like it has to be a circus and that is often exactly what it is.
