"Accidentally"

Thought you all would find this interesting in the current situation we are in and that everyone think's the next World War will start soon or Martial law, What do you all think about this ?

While the story is certainly interesting for what it is, i think a much more telling example of what America is becoming can be found in the comment section below the story.

Look, they managed to turn it into a race debate...that should worry you more then anything.

A spokesman from the Air Force recently came out and said, "My bad".

So it's cool now.

Did you ever see that Chevy Chase movie where a cop pulls him over for dragging a dog leash behind his car....Oops!
Lamppons Vacation

And Ummm, didn't you guys have some sort of exercise in our backyard last July, near the Great Barrier Reef.
US Jettisons bomb over Australia's Barrier Reef.

And then last week I saw this article on RT.com which alleges that the DoD has problems locating Damascus on a map.
DoD has problems locating Damascus on a map

Hey I'm just pointing all this out because, when you add all this up and factor in the Syrian crisis combined with the imminent response of the US....well, I'll let you guys put 2 and 2 together.

I thought it was interesting considering I'm in the Maryland Air National Guard and heard about it here first. Though, we were off Friday since Monday is a Holiday so I'll get the scoop on Tuesday when we return to work. However, from what I picked up from the story, it was one of our A-10's that had the "Hung Store" (That's what we call it) which was intended to drop somewhere else, but let go in this parking lot and they IFE (In-flight Emergency) landed at Warfield Maryland Air National Guard base to assess the issue.

Unfortunately this sometimes happens and is why we practice with dummy bombs, though of course it's still dangerous if it drops on your head!

Malfunction or human error, this could have been lethal if it was a few more feet in another direction. Like someone above posted, "This is why we use dummy bombs" for training. Do you remember that nuclear/atomic bomb that was accidentally dropped in the Atlantic off the southern shore awhile back and never found? Well, I was happy to see it was an A-10, they used to fly over North Eastern PA all the time, after school i'd come home, and I wanted to be a fighter pilot as a kid, and I would be on my swing pretending to be flying an A-10 and when they flew over I'd wave, they would circle around a few times and tip the wings and disappear over the mountains, and I would sometimes get stuff in my eyes (exhaust most likely, but it burned) and i have not seen one in action in a long time. Last fighters I have seen were F-16s in Virginia beach on vacation on the morning of 9/11 2010, and F-18s over Bloomsburg, PA while swimming in our local creek and swinging off the rpe swings with Russians that were at the fairgrounds for a Russian festival (which seemed odd that they flew over that day but never before or after) and they all were like "Woah F 18s!!!!"
