More movement to the area, this time by France. A pair of Atlantique II maritime patrol aircraft, used as SIGINT platforms arrived in Cyprus, to join a pair of E-3Ds, and U-2s. At the same time, in the Azores spotters monitored Special Operations C-130s and MV-22s heading to Crete, and the WC-135 Constant Phoenix spotted near the UK last week flew back to the US through the Med and Malta. The WC-135 is capable of taking air samples of the area that its flying through.

Of course they are. They're going to try to grab everything they possible can when it comes to SIGINT/ELINT while we have all this equipment in the area.

I wish you were right, but Obama has been itching for this for months now. The only reason for the delay currently is to allow the right resources in the region to get in place and get up to date intel for the strikes. Asking Congress was simply a stall tactic to allow this extra time, that's all. (in my opinion)... This is classic Bush combat doctrine 101.

I just wish they'd announce a clear and specific objective, along with a timeline for achieving those objectives and milestones for withdrawal. At least then, we MIGHT be more onboard with it, but right now, I can see ZERO objectives, and ZERO reasons for getting involved in this mess ourselves. If the WORLD made this decision (as Obama keeps saying), then the WORLD, not the US, needs to back up its claims.

I don't think anyone is falling for it this time. Well some libs that love Obama, but most people are opposed. Obama's going in anyway though.

Yep, and THAT is the scary part. This total lack of respect of the wishes of the American people. This feeling that the administration doesn't have to tell us anything about WHY to attack, WHAT to attack, or even what the endgame or objectives are. It's ludicrous!

That's so naive. Would you like to make a wager? The strike is going to happen, and it was always going to happen. It was only delayed because of the overwhelming lack of support by the public. The majority of the public was against, but the government wants it bad. So Obama, in an attempt to salvage some of the legacy he think he will have, is going to Congress. That way they absorb part of the blame if they decide to vote yes (and they likely will). If they DON'T vote in support Obama is still going to take us there.

The vote was just to spread lsome blame AND to make it look like we were represented on the world stage. Of course we aren't really, but this will make us, the people look bad too, to the ignorant media consumers of other western nations.

Mark my words. We ARE going to Syria. Then Iran sooner or later (prob sooner and related to Syria).

Yep. The only good is that this has likely been a BIG wake u p call fot a lot of people. Hopefully, this will send more of the public to vote third party and raise hell if they aren't counted. If enough people vote third then the vote fraud becomes obvious.

Oh boy Obama will get his war, you can bet on that. He has got everything he has really wanted so far. Pushing this off on Congress was only done because the UK bowed out but they will be drug back in somehow. Obama does not care to win this war, he just wants to start it without looking like Hitler.

If I were on a U.S. warship in the Med or in the IDF I would be getting ready for all out war because Russia will get involved this time. Russia knows if they push back against Obama he will back down leaving Israel to fend for themselves.

I think they have blown it, taken way too long for to decide a coarse of action.
Most of the equipment and soldiers have been stashed away from satellite eyes.

This does seem like it is a well planned event.
Even the stalling is for a reason.

Now I am hearing rumblings of a draft being considered.
I have four grandsons in their 20's and this scares the crap out of me.

There is something strange about Russia's and our governments actions for the past few months.
I know it is a wild card but I get a strange feeling that Russia could turn out to stand with the USA and the other big countries and use this to create a One World Government.

The object of joining the other powerful countries to form the New Order would be a strategic move for Russia to be in the ruling party of the new government.

I first heard of a One World Government when I was a young child and my father held political office.
Back then in the 50's people thought you were a nut job if you talked about a OWG.
It has been in the plans a very long time.

I hope and pray nothing happens but I see no stopping now.

And isn't it a fact that if the USA is at war when it is time for the 2014 presidential election that Obama does not have to step down until the war is over?
Just a random thought but worth thinking about.
