An example of debris knocked off of the satellite by a micrometeroid strike. Happens fairly often.
Here's the frame that captured it.

More examples:

What's cooler is the smoke ring the Sun blew:

No. That has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

But that is not a flare, that is a CME. It's not really that big. Here's a really big one.

Looks to be debris...if you want to get all freaked out..go look at the Soho movies for 'sun-diving comets'....little rock in..big flare out...every time...lots of doom fodder there.

You could try a making C2 movie from 22/08/13 to 23/08/13 then look starting from the frame @ 13.25 at the 23/08/13 onward. You will see, (North and at the extreme North edge of the picture, an object appearing and traversing from right to left up to the end of movie as currently given. it also becomes very noticeable in stages. I make no comment as to what it is. The same thing, or something similar occured when the second Comet went into the sun on the 19/20th, an object passed north of the sun from right to left at the same time or as good as. Just a dot, with no discernable tail, and seen on C3, again I make no comment as to what it was.

This is a frame from the C2 movie of the 23rd at 15.48 to know where to look. it is not an artifact or reflection and has continuity in multiple frames.
