I'm sure that is a reason.

I think the reason #1 why the US is so determined to intervene in Syria is because Assad is not down with the petro-dollar. Syria wants to trade oil for another currency other than the U$D, and those who pull the strings will not have it.

This is so true.

People in the US need to wake up and see that the career republicans in our gov't are just as bad as the career democrats - They just put on a show every now and then to convince people there is a difference between them.
