To Whoever Is Making Life And Death Decisions For Me And My Loved Ones;
I need to say something that you need to hear. As a child and through my younger years, I was content (and trusting) enough to allow you to determine the course of my life. I extended you the benefit of a doubt, when necessary, wanting to believe even under the worst scenario that you or someone, some government, or another with sufficient authority would always step up and correct any and all problems so those of us left in blissful ignorance would be cared for.

This is no longer tenable.

Far too often we have to learn through back channels or unapproved resources that you have taken another of what appears to be a horrendous scenario only to exacerbate it to possibly the point of no return. You hide behind a near impenetrable veil of secrecy completely surrounded by the self-delusion believing you are superior enough to manage any and all situations that could potentially affect every man, woman, and child on this planet and repeatedly ignore or botch your approach so spectacularly that we now live in a world drenched in uncertainty. We are left to wonder how badly you will fail next and will we be told in time to do something about it for our loved ones? No longer is it enough for us to fear the dangers of life and life on this planet, we also have to concern ourselves with you and your unbelievably unacceptable track record. Apparently you routinely make decisions for my family, friends, and everyone else without my knowledge or consent, and I, for one, am tired of the results.

So, those of you, whoever you are who continue to take it upon yourselves to decide for the rest of the world what gets priority, what gets done and what does not, I invite you to consider this: it doesn't matter how powerful you are, how rich you are, or how much authority you perceive yourself to possess. There will always be someone with more or someone on the way. Furthermore, if you are also delusional enough to believe you can protect all of those you love when you act with such impunity and disregard for safety in favor of your personal agenda, then a day of reckoning is coming for you. What are you going to do when one of these decisions crashes so catastrophically that you find yourself in the same boat as the rest of us and you are faced with the choice of which members of your family do you love most? How will you determine who you can save and who you cannot when one of your actions results in a life saving—and sacrificing-split second decision because you have not left enough time to reach everyone you want to?

So I ask you, when making these determinations, wouldn't it truly be more sensible if you reach out to as many professionals and specialists as you can possibly find, or even the general public, and give them as much time as you, yourself have to fix an issue? We’re a pretty smart bunch out here, and sometimes it isn’t even the most experience or intelligence that matters most. Sometimes I ask my children for simple answers to life's most extreme questions because they can see things only a child can. They see through innocent, unbiased, and totally honest eyes and usually don't mind sharing. Finally, don’t think you or your team, group, comrades, counselors, etc. can save you. If you are a group instead of an individual, it matters not if the end result is the same. And when that end outcome continues to be wrong time after time after time, isn't it time to step back and look at the source of all those bad decisions? If not for you, perhaps for someone you actually love enough that you should have the decency to do all within your power to protect and not hide behind that same power, or wealth, or whatever you have chosen above everyone else so far?

As for me, I am responsible for my family and I deserve the ability to know in advance what I should be doing to protect them. I do not approve of the job you have done so far and you do not have my permission to put my loved ones at risk, regardless of what your agenda is. Even if you are somehow sincere, I stand by my declaration that I be included in the process.

I shouldn’t have to tell you the world changes every day and often for the worse as a consequence of your actions. If for no other reason, at least you would have us to share the blame if something goes terribly wrong, and I am willing to accept that responsibility. Now you have a new choice. Do you hold life in the balance to yourself (or yourselves), or do you for once do the right thing and begin allowing the rest of us to participate?

I implore you to do so before it’s too late.

As one of those in authority I did not read your open letter. None of us ever will. That's because you have no credibility. You don't know how the world works or why it does. You just have a limited perspect8ive from your own point of view that is ignorant of the facts and data that might lead you to a different conclusion. Sadly, there's nothing to be done about you because you have convinced yourself that you have sufficient knowledge to leap to such grandiose conclusions. In other words, what you say does not matter in the least, and it never will. There's a very good reason you're not in charge. You don't know anything.

Oh. Sorry to have bothered you, then. I'll just crawl back in my corner, I guess. Just let me know when I should be getting up, going to work, eating, and sleeping and I will do as I am told from now on.

Hugs and Kisses,

I admit that I, for one, don't know much, Sky. Nor am I in a position to know where you are coming from. Maybe you meant it, or maybe it was parody. I know you're a bright guy.

I know something else: Every economy and world power has a curve. The shelf-life of entropy. That never changes. And folk better have a LOT of power if they have any hope of weathering such a storm any better than the rest of us.

No one in power gives a damn, poster. Their priorities are making massive amounts of money they will never spend and f'ing up the lives of those of us who have to work for it.
