So when will they introduce Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift as the Wonder Twins?

Great choice!

Let's not forget that daredevil is a 'completely' different character to Batman, and I'm sure Ben knows what he has to do in order to pull it off.

Also his acting ability is far superior now to what it was 10 years back.

Yes there are probably a few better choice, but I have a good feeling about this.

Each to their own eh? :-)

My whole thing is ....

How can Batman compete at ALL with Superman?

A guy in a suit with money and gadgets vs. a Kryptonian that can fly into space.

I guess Batman will just buy some kryptonite bullets or something?

Also, Superman's x-ray vision and super-senses would be able to see inside the bat cave, so Bruce Wayne's cover would totally be known to Superman.

Read the Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, epic battle between Batman and Superman.

Really? Affleck??

Well to be fair it's only in the Superman sequel to MOS, which sucked itself, so not particularly bothered really.
It's not like he has his own Batman movie or is making the first of a trilogy of Batman films.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, this is leading up to a Justice League movie which Ben Affleck is lobbying to direct. They're trying to follow in the footsteps of Marvel with the Avengers series, so unless this effort is a colossal failure, expect to see Affleck donning the bat suit for some time.

After I saw Batman Forever way back in the 90's I honestly thought they couldn't do any worse, but I don't see how this one can be much better. Somehow I have a feeling it will be more of a really stupid comedy than an action movie. Maybe they can throw in some of the awesome special effects from the 80's superman movies.

All downhill since Keaton left.

The MOST horrible decision every! This is the guy that was once part of the whole Bennifer thing. Remember that. Now he's going to play batman. I don't think, so I'm done.

Last night I got sidetracked by real life and found myself in an emergency room waiting area from about midnight until well after seven this morning... so missed a couple of points I was planning to make but ended up unable to. I am happy to see that others did touch upon them though...

The Keaton issue is one. Being an old man, I can remember the absolute furor over the casting of Micheal Keaton as Batman... and it turns out he not only did a good job - he is pretty much the template for how to play Batman in a movie.

Then again I can also remember people being very pleased with Clooney... and we all know how that turned out.

As I see it, casting ( and playing ) Batman has become fairly easy - provided they don't need to spend time on back story or deep character development. A square jaw, a husky voice, and a decent physique. Especially for the Batman versus Superman angle.

It's casting and defining the movie version of Superman where DC keeps messing things up, over and over again IMO. I realize that a lot of people loved Man of Steel... but to me it's like they got influenced by Twilight and the only thing missing from emo Superman is the sparkly skin.

What surprises me is how Hollywood acts like there are only 20 actors in the world. I am sure if Charlie Chaplin were still alive he would be cast as Batman!

Comeon, there is some real talent out there, lets tell Hollywood that they could spend that money on a less known actor, so that they can provide us with less cinematic crap.

Peace, NRE.

Actually, I've been sitting here brainstorming and, in my dream world where people had common sense and cast to character and not image?

Either way, I think it is a mistake to introduce Batman Vs. Superman / Superman Vs. Batman too early. They should have rebooted Batman and taken turns with Batman movie, superman movie, alternating until they had 3 each, and then done the team up after everyone was foaming at the mouth for it.

Do a couple of those and then do a justice league movie properly like Marvel did with Avengers.

My 2 cents.

too soon for a reboot on batman.....
