I rarely do this in threads I host but in your case I don’t want to see your post get buried so I'm going to repost it and thank you for fleshing out the details for us.

I've not had time to read through all of the posts but I am from Duncan, OK. My sister-in-law lives in the apartment complex where these children lived / hung out . . worst part of town by far.

James Edwards Jr. or Buggs as he calls himself attempted to fight my brother-in-law a few months back stating "we don't like white crackers around here" . . My brother-in-law is 27 yrs old and is above all that so nothing ever happened. I spoke with an old high school friend yesterday and she claims this same guy appx 2 weeks ago was threatening to break into her house and kidnap one of her children. The police said they couldn't do anything unless they acted upon the threats . . I don't know the details on that but from what I hear he is worthless. A year ago he was into all sorts of sports and even coaching young children in wrestling but I believe his mother died and his dad didn't step up so this is the path he has taken.

I don't know any background on the other two.

I don't know if it was racially motivated but I do know "Buggs" had a chip on his shoulder.
From what I understand, one was full black, one was half white/half black and the driver was white so I honestly don't think this was racially motivated.

All I know is that I feel more comfortable allowing my wife to visit her sister at those apartments although there are still some real bad people there =(

What I find particularly interesting? The Chief of Police in the area is quoted as saying that 'part of town’ is affluent and extremely safe.

You - a ‘real person’ who lives there? You don’t agree reflecting a major discrepancy between reality and (the Chief's) fantasy - but I suppose that’s for another thread.

Thank you again - peace

Here's another first hand info account from DustbowlDebutante people joining this thread might have missed.

I'm guessing the apartment complex you speak of is Elm Terrace? That place is scary. Neither I nor mr. Dustbowl will set foot there.

I don't know if you have children I'd Duncan schools, but when I dropped my son off this morning to his elementary school, the school was locked down and they had undercover police officers there. The kids didn't get to play outside at all today either. Why? Well, from what the school explained to me was that some of these suspects' family have threatened to "shoot up a school" over this.

These family members making this threat of shooting innocent children tell me everything I need to know about why these young men engaged in senseless killing in the first place; sounds to me like its a family pastime with these little thugs.

How dare these people scare our kids and threaten to shoot them simply for trying to go to school.

This is reality.

What the Cheif calls 'affluent' and 'safe'.

That's scary.

Thank you for giving us the real view and stay safe all of you!

peace

Guns are not for children to possess

Their parents should also be investigated and tried as benefactors for giving them shelter, life and a firearm.

There is a direct correlation between adults with firearms and Well-being.

This is not a matter of gun control this is a matter of they would have still killed him without a gun.

I was recently beated within an inch of my life by about 8 people they didn't have a gun but they certainly tried to kill me just sucks for them im tougher than they thought, All because I said I would buy them some ciggarettes because I didn't have any on me at the time.

The only reason I am alive now because they thought they had already killed me.

so it is a matter of bad people..

Remember GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE.

especially un-trained ones trained ones have specific targets and bomb entire towns not shoot some poor guy in the back if they where trained and really wanted to be evil they would have called for him to turn around to see the fear in his eyes.

Obviously these children have not been parented and and products of the society they are brought up in.

I would deem it the fault of Obama and his position of Black people dominating the white and rising up against them.

The US Gubment and the Military industrial complex have the most guns and they are seemingly the richest entities in that nation sure there are still suicides with firearms and friendly fire in the MIC AND gubment (on national tv)

but that is because those very same people realized the atrocities they and their peers have been committing.

The psychopaths without empathy in those positions will never take their own lives THEY LOVE THEMSELVES TOO MUCH.

You can bet your arse some politicians go to sleep at night with a smile on their face thinking of the Targets taken out by the military that day might even go a little further there too but I won't get into that .

it is just a fact of the matter.

Case and Point : I like the thought of playing in politician's blood and parts.

apparantly I have

ODD
Messianic complex
Psychopathy
and a host of other conditions because I told the shrinks I didn't like how there was so much war and corruption especially just relating to corporate espionage.

so I am deemed crazy because all that evil # apparantly is normal and i'm the one thats wierd.

I had to pick between looking at a fluff Youtube video on Sinkholes, and ATS.
Sadly I chose ATS where I had to be pushed right back into the reality that is America.

What kind of scummy, devolved, loserish, know nothing parents would raise such a monster? I wonder if it is even the parents fault.

The worst part is I just came from a WW3 video where this comment was posted:

Russia, China, Syria and Iran. They are all low life communism dirt bags with no morals and are major setback for the good of man kind. They must be illuminated for our world to move forward. Don't back down U.S.A. Step in and take what's ours and lets be finally rid of these low lives. Us Canadians always got your back and so does England. We are the way and many other great countries will join the fight and we can finally be rid of these low life countries. Its the only way.

The US, does not need to step into any conflicts or spend any money on a War overseas when there is already one going on here amongst the sane and insane populations of this nation.

2 drops in 2 hours? Did these punks intend on killing another person?

They should be able to get the death penalty - for willing to plan, follow and execute the plan should be the main reason they get the death penalty.

But I'm sure there will be a group that'll blame the youths for being misguided. Those poor poor kids.

If guns didn't exist, those kids wouldn't have killed anyone.

I am quite sure jesse or al are willing to explain it. Those poor boys, victims of jealousy, were just in killing the Ken doll look alike, he had it ALL. And he had a very pretty girlfriend.

I agree!
*****wild tangent below*****
If the Aussie, and people like him, would have gave more monies to poor families, the kids wouldn't have killed him.
...wait, they weren't really that poor? But it must be a crime based on rich people not sharing their wealth.

Maybe it was all the violent games and music that kids now partake in, they wouldn't have killed anyone.
....millions? Millions of kids and adults play and listen to violent stuff? From our studies, there should be millions more dead people by now.

Religion, if they were more religious, they wouldn't have killed anyone-it is forbidden. Only embracing the scriptures will end violence in today's society!
....what, how many more were killed in the middle east? The conflicts in the middle east are never religious based.

Must be guns, if assault weapons were outlawed, they couldn't have shot anyone!
...a 22? 22 Long or 22 short? 22 longs look assaulting enough, more so than a 22 short. Let's ban assault 22's ASAP.

Parents, must be bad parenting then. Good parents prevents kids from killing people, its a proven fact.
...parents did try to mentor and punish them, but the schools got involved and instructed the parents that you MUST treat children like little people...or else they'll have you investigated for neglect/abuse.

There cannot be NO excuse why these kids acted the way they did. There is always someone or something to blame people's faults on. This doesn't add up.
...still digging. Has to be a reason why they killed. There is no way that a kid can behave this way on their own.

Let's put blame where blame is due. Those punks wanted to act like punks and chose to kill a person. They should get the death penalty for such a needless killing.

Found the reason! Tragedies, they suffered tragedies! Everyone who ever has suffered tragedies went on a killing spree. Those poor poor kids.

Oh, I can see how that would have been confusing.

The neighborhood where the young man was shot IS an affluent neighborhood. Lurker had mentioned the apartment complex where these guys had grown up/hung out. Two opposite ends of town. And the neighborhood where they picked the suspects up is where mr. Dustbowl lived until we moved in together. We moved into my house because we can let the kids play outside here without worry. So from what I've read about this case, it looks to me as though these young men spent the majority of their time in some pretty sketchy places. They only went to the affluent end of town when they decided to shoot someone.

Who knows, maybe this was motivated by class instead of race?

The bit I said about the schools being on lockdown yesterday was real. So police and school officials took the threat of one of the family members shooting up a school quite seriously. Enough so that they had the kids running drills all day along with all of the security precautions.

Beyond that, I can also tell you to just take what the police and DA say with a very large pinch of salt. Had a citizen not called the police and turned these guys in, this crime would have been left unsolved.

I have seen many comments in the thread expressing outrage that these murders wont be facing the death penalty even though they have been charged as adults.

I am against the death penalty in cases like this, but not for the reasons you may assume.

For punks like these guys, the death penalty is not enough. Even if they are afraid and dont want to die, their ordeal will be over. Better they spend the rest of their lives in prison. To live and suffer for thousands of days, day in day out stretching ahead of them for decades.

Another reason I prefer the death penalty is not on the table in this case is because cases that involve the possibility of it become ABOUT the death penalty and there are all sorts of resources and people that come out of the woodwork to provide help and endless appeals.

Better they go to suffer in a box for thousands and thousand of days and nights in jail. And I hope they live to be 100. 85 years in a box is more fitting that the easy way out.

I hate cowards.

The death penalty would be more effective if these were publicized, much like hangings in the public square over a century ago.

The link goes on to say these murderers will be tried as adults but not face the death penalty.

WHY NOT! That's criminal.

Terrible crime to say the least. If there was free education offered to ALL youth, this probably would not have happened. Death penalty!? No, not for these three. They are young and stupid and should be taken off the streets until they grow up, see the error of their ways, repent (to society, not necessarily to GOD) and take personal responsibility for their actions. Then and only then should they be allowed to somehow give back to society (not freedom, but some sort of pay-back to the rest of the living).

Free education wont solve anything. Because they first of all lack parental guidence and respect for other human beings. Kids dont go to School because its free. They go to School because their parents instructs them to.

So they didn't kill out of being "bored", but it was a gang initiation. If Obama had sons, they would all look like those three thugs. You won't hear a peep from the lamestream media.

You are living in a culture, where everybody is very quick, when it is about killing people. And then you wonder, how teenagers are so sick, to kill people playfully. And again your only answer is: Kill them!

It is not so much about religion, it is the culture. Your country is aggressive and it produces agressivity.

Here is why they don't have jobs:
www.theblaze.com...

It May Now Pay More to Be on Welfare Than Get an Entry-Level Job in These 34 States
Aug. 21, 2013 10:36am Becket Adams
f it paid better to stay at home and not work, what would you do? That’s a question being asked in more than 30 states.

Thirty-four states and the District of Columbia have made it more attractive to seek welfare benefits than entry-level employment, according to a new report from the libertarian Cato Institute.

“One of the single best ways to climb out of poverty is taking a job, but as long as welfare provides a better standard of living than an entry-level job, recipients will continue to choose it over work,” said Michael Tanner, senior policy analyst and study co-author.

This is Obama's way of enacting "reparations" for his people. Give them more money than the people that break their backs working to pay taxes to give to those bums who don't WANT to work, and then they can go out and kill white people for fun. Let's call it the way it is, no PC, just the truth. Am I enraged? You bet your $$$ I am. The only thing this poor victim did was to be born WHITE.

On another note: Where are Al Sharpton, Obama, and all the other race-baiters, that screamed about Travon? Awfully quiet, aren't they?

Filthy lies that many people such as yourself have swallowed whole!

Welfare does not provide a person with more than a job and I should know because I work in Welfare.

Why would Al, Obama and other race-baiters be screaming about this? The three kids (of which only one is black) were not given their gun back and told to go home and have a nice day.

Anyone that doesn't think that this murder could be considered racially motivated needs to look at the twitter feed of James Edwards, he says flat out that he hates white people in one tweet and claims he's knocced [sic] out 5 woods (white people for those that aren't familiar with the slang) since the Zimmerman verdict.

If the Zimmerman case can be considered racially motivated, then this case is easily 100 times more so, since we have one of the killers stating in his own words that he hates white people.

Meanwhile, the entire world is aware of this case, yet the deputy press secretary of the White House claims that he is not familiar with it.

Where is the President on this? Where are the the race-baiting pros, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? Toure'? Chris Rock? Oprah? Spike Lee, would you like to tweet out their home addresses? Samuel Jackson, would you like to spout some more vitriol so the world knows how angry you are? Utter silence, I mean, it's not like anything needs to be said, right? It was only a white guy that got killed, after all, it's not like he had any kind of future to look forward to, right? He doesn't mean as much, we was just "some white guy."

No, this is just a simple murder case, that's all. No racial motivation here, why is that? Well, that is impossible, since the perpetrators aren't white, and as we all know, the only people capable of committing a crime based on race are white people.

/rant

Wasn't one of the guys white? How can it be racially motivated when one of the perps was white also?

Regardless. They made a choice. I grew up poor, in a very poor community, and I worked my $$$ off, both in school, and after school working two jobs, so that I could get to college and get out of the situation. They chose a different path. It is pure BS to blame where they grew up. It was their choice to fail to do something positive to change the situation, and now an innocent boy is dead. It pi$$es me off.

Where did you learn the drive to WANT to finish college? Were you born with it or did someone teach it too you?

Now apply that to, perhaps these kids and others like them DO NOT have someone to teach them that college is the answer (or was). Going deeper, they don't have anyone in their family to SHOW them that college is the answer.
