I've not had time to read through all of the posts but I am from Duncan, OK. My sister-in-law lives in the apartment complex where these children lived / hung out . . worst part of town by far.
James Edwards Jr. or Buggs as he calls himself attempted to fight my brother-in-law a few months back stating "we don't like white crackers around here" . . My brother-in-law is 27 yrs old and is above all that so nothing ever happened. I spoke with an old high school friend yesterday and she claims this same guy appx 2 weeks ago was threatening to break into her house and kidnap one of her children. The police said they couldn't do anything unless they acted upon the threats . . I don't know the details on that but from what I hear he is worthless. A year ago he was into all sorts of sports and even coaching young children in wrestling but I believe his mother died and his dad didn't step up so this is the path he has taken.
I don't know any background on the other two.
I don't know if it was racially motivated but I do know "Buggs" had a chip on his shoulder.
From what I understand, one was full black, one was half white/half black and the driver was white so I honestly don't think this was racially motivated.
All I know is that I feel more comfortable allowing my wife to visit her sister at those apartments although there are still some real bad people there =(
I'm guessing the apartment complex you speak of is Elm Terrace? That place is scary. Neither I nor mr. Dustbowl will set foot there.
I don't know if you have children I'd Duncan schools, but when I dropped my son off this morning to his elementary school, the school was locked down and they had undercover police officers there. The kids didn't get to play outside at all today either. Why? Well, from what the school explained to me was that some of these suspects' family have threatened to "shoot up a school" over this.
These family members making this threat of shooting innocent children tell me everything I need to know about why these young men engaged in senseless killing in the first place; sounds to me like its a family pastime with these little thugs.
How dare these people scare our kids and threaten to shoot them simply for trying to go to school.
Russia, China, Syria and Iran. They are all low life communism dirt bags with no morals and are major setback for the good of man kind. They must be illuminated for our world to move forward. Don't back down U.S.A. Step in and take what's ours and lets be finally rid of these low lives. Us Canadians always got your back and so does England. We are the way and many other great countries will join the fight and we can finally be rid of these low life countries. Its the only way.

2 drops in 2 hours? Did these punks intend on killing another person?
They should be able to get the death penalty - for willing to plan, follow and execute the plan should be the main reason they get the death penalty.
But I'm sure there will be a group that'll blame the youths for being misguided. Those poor poor kids.
If guns didn't exist, those kids wouldn't have killed anyone.
I am quite sure jesse or al are willing to explain it. Those poor boys, victims of jealousy, were just in killing the Ken doll look alike, he had it ALL. And he had a very pretty girlfriend.

I have seen many comments in the thread expressing outrage that these murders wont be facing the death penalty even though they have been charged as adults.
I am against the death penalty in cases like this, but not for the reasons you may assume.
For punks like these guys, the death penalty is not enough. Even if they are afraid and dont want to die, their ordeal will be over. Better they spend the rest of their lives in prison. To live and suffer for thousands of days, day in day out stretching ahead of them for decades.
Another reason I prefer the death penalty is not on the table in this case is because cases that involve the possibility of it become ABOUT the death penalty and there are all sorts of resources and people that come out of the woodwork to provide help and endless appeals.
Better they go to suffer in a box for thousands and thousand of days and nights in jail. And I hope they live to be 100. 85 years in a box is more fitting that the easy way out.
I hate cowards.
The link goes on to say these murderers will be tried as adults but not face the death penalty.
WHY NOT! That's criminal.

Terrible crime to say the least. If there was free education offered to ALL youth, this probably would not have happened. Death penalty!? No, not for these three. They are young and stupid and should be taken off the streets until they grow up, see the error of their ways, repent (to society, not necessarily to GOD) and take personal responsibility for their actions. Then and only then should they be allowed to somehow give back to society (not freedom, but some sort of pay-back to the rest of the living).

What closer look do you need? One admitted to pulling the trigger. Another thinks this is a big joke. Only the driver has actually shown any emotion to this. Maybe not all three should die, but the two charged with 1st degree murder should.
What would a 'true' Christian do? I can tell you what a 'true' Mulsim would do.

Black youth unemployment rate is above 50%,along with living in poverty anyway I would imagine boredom has a lot to do with it although in this case I don't believe that for a minute.
Here is why they don't have jobs:

It May Now Pay More to Be on Welfare Than Get an Entry-Level Job in These 34 States
Aug. 21, 2013 10:36am Becket Adams
f it paid better to stay at home and not work, what would you do? That’s a question being asked in more than 30 states.
Thirty-four states and the District of Columbia have made it more attractive to seek welfare benefits than entry-level employment, according to a new report from the libertarian Cato Institute.
“One of the single best ways to climb out of poverty is taking a job, but as long as welfare provides a better standard of living than an entry-level job, recipients will continue to choose it over work,” said Michael Tanner, senior policy analyst and study co-author.
This is Obama's way of enacting "reparations" for his people. Give them more money than the people that break their backs working to pay taxes to give to those bums who don't WANT to work, and then they can go out and kill white people for fun. Let's call it the way it is, no PC, just the truth. Am I enraged? You bet your $$$ I am. The only thing this poor victim did was to be born WHITE.
On another note: Where are Al Sharpton, Obama, and all the other race-baiters, that screamed about Travon? Awfully quiet, aren't they?

Anyone that doesn't think that this murder could be considered racially motivated needs to look at the twitter feed of James Edwards, he says flat out that he hates white people in one tweet and claims he's knocced [sic] out 5 woods (white people for those that aren't familiar with the slang) since the Zimmerman verdict.
If the Zimmerman case can be considered racially motivated, then this case is easily 100 times more so, since we have one of the killers stating in his own words that he hates white people.
Meanwhile, the entire world is aware of this case, yet the deputy press secretary of the White House claims that he is not familiar with it.
Where is the President on this? Where are the the race-baiting pros, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? Toure'? Chris Rock? Oprah? Spike Lee, would you like to tweet out their home addresses? Samuel Jackson, would you like to spout some more vitriol so the world knows how angry you are? Utter silence, I mean, it's not like anything needs to be said, right? It was only a white guy that got killed, after all, it's not like he had any kind of future to look forward to, right? He doesn't mean as much, we was just "some white guy."
No, this is just a simple murder case, that's all. No racial motivation here, why is that? Well, that is impossible, since the perpetrators aren't white, and as we all know, the only people capable of committing a crime based on race are white people.

Regardless. They made a choice. I grew up poor, in a very poor community, and I worked my $$$ off, both in school, and after school working two jobs, so that I could get to college and get out of the situation. They chose a different path. It is pure BS to blame where they grew up. It was their choice to fail to do something positive to change the situation, and now an innocent boy is dead. It pi$$es me off.
