Some people do make it out the hood and become something? Bu most don't. Just like most kids in rich or well off neighborhoods make something of themselves, but just a few are too lazy or stupid and continue monkeying around, or even get into crime and drugs despite all the opportunities and funding. So, I guess you're saying it's predestination? I concede that it is harder to get out of a ghetto and become a success than it is to get "daddy's business". However, I still contend that it is up to the person to WANT to get out of the situation that they are in, and then work their A&& off. I know, because I did it, and it wasn't easy, but I did what was necessary. What were the sacrifices? While others played sports, I studied til 1 in the morning virtually every night, I worked two jobs, right after school and on weekends, I didn't date until I was in college, and even then, only rarely, didn't get drunk, saved every penny I made, working my tuition off, busing tables at the cafeteria, tutoring students, then going to grad school, and not marrying until I had my degrees and a successful career. So was it easy? No, but then again, until lately no one is going to give you a career, but now Obama has decided that people don't need to work to make a decent living, they can go on welfare.

hes saying that being of a particular race does not constitute being an N.

however, there is one race in particular today that tends to dominate that category. tomorrow it could be another race, but the criteria for the N would be the same.

Plus I have been reading about the suspect's facebook where it's shown that at least two of them made racial slurs against whites, including the fact that they "swung on" two of them "for Trayvon"....

How is this not racially motivated?

As much as we want to say it's parenting, we have to look and the ideas presented here by fellow ATS members. Whole societies are being manipulated. Just think. How did we go from what looked like a peaceful nation to one that love... GTA, Lady gaga, ghetto'ness, etc. We are only human, corruption lives in all of us but are we feeding it?

Our environment changes us regardless of whether we acknowledge or resist. We are impacted by that which we are in contact with. Listen to gangster music long enough, and it will impact your subconscious. Same with anything.

Why are the crimes of other races always brought up when blacks are afraid to look in the mirror?

The truth of the matter is, is that there is an epidemic among black americans...there is a subculture who is criminal, uneducated, and violent, which explains why blacks- while they are only 14% of the population, commit over 60% of he violent crimes.

There is a major problem.

And your attempts to silence the messenger- just because you may be in denial- are not working. The rest of the population, nationally and globally, are now starting to see that this victimhood blame-game has gone on long enough.

I'm switching between several MSM news stations tonight and it appears that all of the liberal stations are calling for stricter gun laws. I disagree.

First, gun laws are created for law-abiding citizens...thugs are not law-abiding.

Second, the whole should not be punished for the few ( more socialism at work)

Last, even if guns were banned, there would still be violent crimes; just not done with guns, because it is not the gun that is the problem....its the culture/mentality.

You would think that black leaders like Sharpton, Obama, and Jackson would want to do something about the statistic, other than make excuses for their actions. However, they don't want to correct the problem, because people like them would be out of a job, if the problem were corrected. Count on continuation of the above statistic, because it's in TPTB's interest to continue the program as directed. No screenplay changes allowed. Lights, camera, action, bring on the crime.

I hate to agree with someone who only a post ago called out the KKK - but I have to on this point at least.
I remember a while back - another ‘bored’ defense - a couple a boys took out an older man while filming it. They beat him, used knives, a fork if I remember correctly - tortured him - and all without a gun. There was a big hullabaloo about the video all over the internet and ATS. I’m sure someone else will remember the case as I only retained a few of the particulars.

My point - it isn’t the guns. If those killers hadn’t had a gun - the baseball bat would have done just fine.

It is easy to see, what is wrong. First you demand the death of three teenagers without any closer look at what happened and who of the three was involved how and then you preach that things like that happen because of the lack of Christianity.

An eye for an eye baby. I’ve no problem with that at all.

And honestly - what MORE do you need to know about the case? Three kids shot and killed a young man because they were BORED. Spin your way out of that. They took a life because they were sick of playing their video games (stated in one of the 6 articles I read).

These kids - all three of them - had ‘run ins’ with the law and that, repeatedly. The Chief of police openly commented the trio ‘wanted to be gangsters’ and glorified mobsters. (From one of the other articles I read).

No, I don’t need to know any more than these cold blooded killers were bored - and killed Chris Lane. - like a dog in the street shooting him in the back.

A true Christian would not call for the death of the teenagers.

I agree with this. A growing majority of Amerikans cannot discern the difference between good and bad any longer. But I can tell you this - I might not know exactly what ‘bad’ is because I don’t subscribe to it - but I sure know what is bad when I feel it.

This one is nasty! I am as surprised as others that this news story is not all over national news as we had seen with the Trayvon Martin case. Where are the activists, politicians, and commenters? Where is the so-called outrage? Those are legitimate questions.

This was cold-blooded premeditated murder, and the closest thing to a bonafide hate crime I have seen. Yet, no talk of this by the White House or the clowns in circus known as the lamestream media. Shame on them! Murder is murder, and it is all bad! Yet, they feel compelled to play semantics with such an aggregious concept. One act of violence is more important than another? I am not going to blame anyone, rap music, or society as a whole for this murder.

I am going to blame the individuals, because they chose to go out and murder that kid on their own. Their guilt rests with them, and them alone. Music and movies are just entertainment. People choose to commit murder, or commit any crime for that matter. That has been the case long before the inception of modern entertainment. For those responsible for this murder? If found guilty? They deserve to spend the remainder of their days behind bars! That should be the case with anyone found guilty of murder! No semantics, but the straight truth.
