But that beneficial side has been dropping off since 14th august 1945 and since 2001 has been none existant.

Erm I think you will find that in every history book that is UK too.
So its not exactly "unique". Rare for the world and special but not unique.
Actually the UK took all the powers from the Monarch in 1649 after our civil war. Since then the Monarch here is just a puppet.
