3d printer can make him a new heart that his body won't reject, so no anti-rejection meds needed

Did you vote for Obama? What's the matter? Don't you like Socialism?

So the fact that this same thing was happening when Clinton was president, and Reagan was president, and probably since the start of transplants is Obama's fault?

The truth of the matter is that you can't save ANYONE!.

Resources could be better expended on things that improve everyone's miserable existence here.

It isn't "Stalinism", it's common sense.

Common sense is using available technology to save and improve life while continually searching for newer and better technology. If we had adopted your "common sense" we'd still be using leeches.

Then I guess America has been socialist since transplants started because I've heard stories like this my entire life.

From 1986 urging an aid system for transplants because patients were denied due to inability to pay.
www.nytimes.com...

A nine year old that died because the father had to go through too many steps to get a transplant (including calling the White House).
www.nytimes.com...

There are a few thousand cases of transplants being denied, long before Obama came into office, so I guess America has always been a Socialist nation according to you.

Pre Crime invading Medical Services.

These things need to be Universal, for everyone, equally, and all slum areas done away with including slavery and forced employment.

We treat other humans horribly, even if not direct, by our opinions, apathy and how we vote, turning politics into false idols when the true Church and Temple is the Body, don't turn away from people.

Ever watched the show Cats From Hell or something, about a cat life coach, and amazing results when you start to meet the cat's needs and go with their energy.

I love the show, not because it seems to have a PTB agenda to promote animal rights over humans, but because the kind of empathy, and understanding of another, and what they need is actually trans species.

Now, that is how we need to deal with humans, and sit down and ensure we're seeing their world and they're having a good one, without slavery or dog eat dog jungle BEAST mentality. Survival of the Fittest is the Beast, by the way. The whole test is spirit over body. Love over hate/fear. Abundance over scarsity, Empowering others over secrets.....Universe doesnt like martyrs, not the progressive abundant higher ups, and the regressive shrinking hell zones don't represent life. They're more of an illness.

The medical system needs to be universal for all.

And in addition, he shouldn't be in a negative environment making bad choices, but we should have a really good one by now.

There have always been death panels in hospitals. Just not what we were lead to believe them to be. When someone died and the attending physicians could not determine the cause of death, a panel of doctors would meet and try to figure out the cause of death. That is what a death panel is in most hospitals.

Where's the Rev's Al and JEsse on this? This is obviously a racist decision.

Oh - it's ##snipped##

Black on black crime doesn't garner all this attention from the racists.

You are an idiot . They only have so many hearts to go around . They won't and should not give them to anyone they think will waste there second chance on live . Giving him a heart means someone else has to go without one .

Transplant decisions should be determined based on NEED and not on "compliance".

Did I wake up on a fracking borg cube this morning???

"We have reason to believe that your child will not go to college, become a productive member of society, ergo, we will not be performing the life-saving operation he so badly needs. As a consolation, however, we are including (in this rejection letter) 2 for 1 coupons to Red Lobster.
Have a nice day,

The medical-political-profession"

Remember just a few years ago? Just a FEW YEARS...I'm sure it was... The mere suggestion of others making life and death care decisions based on anything but medical facts in the case was unthinkable enough to draw comparisons to the Nazi medical corps...and with good reason in some cases.

Now? Deciding this boy should die while others may live because people in his case figure he isn't worth saving is not even causing outrage in any universal way.

It must be all the debates about retroactive abortion and things much more horrible than this. They've 'horrified' us to the point that we'll except the murder of a child like Anthony here ....because bureaucrats couldn't see what made his life worth having.

(*I* don't see what makes a bureaucrat's life worth saving, if they are up for a transplant. How's THAT?!)

"non-compliance"

HAHAHA yes... This just keeps getting better and better.

I'm interested to see what's next and where.

This debate is a good example of part of the debate that divides our country. On one side you have the "individual liberty" crowd (which includes me) that bristles at the notion of giving up individual freedoms and identity.

On the other side there is the "greater good" crowd. These are the folks who think that if it benefits humanity, it should be what is done (regardless of individual impacts).

Obviously, most folks are in both camps to various degrees.

But that is what is being questioned here: whether or not individuals should have the right to make these "greater good" determinations, especially when someone's life is at stake.

If you have seen John Q, the part played by Anne Heche....a fairly close parallel in this case.

America is not socialist, but it absolutely does not value individual liberty. Even going so far as to perpetuate the belief that it is a democracy, not a constitutional republic.

You and I realize this, but some people are going to twist everything humanly possible to blame Obama for it. It's almost like blaming him is a religion or something.

Just wait a little longer. We can blame someone else when this term is up.

There are some folks who even still blame Bush for stuff. It is pretty humorous to watch the infantile political debates that happen surrounding the two parties.

It's absurd to think Obama has any blame on a personal level to this case.

Having said that? I DO actually blame Obama in general and here is why. It's been Obama who has introduced the nation to "You can't have it your way....." on so many things from SUV's (which there is a point to be made about) to medical care and a doctor you know and trust. Things Government should never be involved in beyond the most blind and general of ways to insure outright abuse isn't occurring.

The cheapening of everything...every last thing...to dollars, cents and sacrifice on the alter of austerity (Which his spending has helped necessitate, I might add) has been as much his baby as anything ..which is where the relatively new atmosphere where things like THIS happen is tolerable.

Medical and Insurance agents never used to be in the business of mixing moral judgement with life and death care decisions. That's a sign of the times ..and Obama has made himself the center of our nation for these times like no other President in history. He can accept his influence on them and the bitter unintended consequences, IMO.

Everyone with the smallest degree of power or authority now seems to feel they have the right to get into everyone's very personal business with it. In this case, to the extreme of getting this kid killed.

Pre-crime and Death Panels in effect at your local doctor's office now.

This is maddening, what can be done to change these doctors minds? This child is 15, freaking 15 what the hell is going on? Why is no one standing up for him? Why is this not on the news? Why is this not on every front page of every news site?

This can not be allowed to go through, a child should not be allowed to die simply because he was a freaking normal teen people make mistakes at that age they are human it's how we all learn to be better adults. I would think if his life was spared he would cherish it more. Who the frack are these doctors to to allow this to go through.

As a mom and a human with feelings this makes me cry, really when did we become so robotic and uncaring in nature that we allow a child to die with no care whatsoever because he made the same mistakes that 90% of us all made?

This is abonimable, we as a society are doomed.
