What the heck does it have to do with RACE!?!?!?!?!?!
Because most of the black people are voting in the early voting which they are cutting back, duh.
But then the reports of voting irregularities started leaking out, then gushing out – like the 59 different Philadelphia voting divisions in which Mitt Romney received zero votes compared to Obama’s 19,605. And the Cleveland precinct in which Obama beat Romney 542 to 0. (In fact, Romney received zero votes in nine Cleveland precincts.) And that’s just the beginning.
“Out of 175,554 registered voters, 247,713 vote cards were cast in St. Lucie County, Florida, on Tuesday”
“Colorado counties have more voters than people”

I understand what they're saying, but why does that make the law racist? The law applies to all people, black, white, purple, male, female, hermaphrodites, everyone equally. Why do they claim one race to be affected more than others by a law that affects everyone equally? The law even stipulates that the polls will be open for the same amount of hours as before, just more hours per day.

Because when you reduce early voting, you are effectively limiting the Black vote in particular. That is why it is targeted. Blacks are disproportionally represented in the amounts of early voting ballots cast. Mainly due to church sponsored services that help their congregants in getting to the polls.
Also would like to take a moment to point out that yes the ID required may be free. But that does not mean that the supporting documents are. And believe it or not there are still eligible voters that do not have a Birth Certificate at all. Others that simply would not know where to request theirs. Either way in essence you are creating a poll tax. Last time I had to go and get a copy of my BC it cost 25 dollars.
The thing I do like about these restrictive voter ID laws, is that it is driving even larger turnouts. Tell someone they can't do something and suddenly they are interested in making sure they can.
